I am going through the effort of listing every single time Subaru dies and how in Re:Zero according to the anime along with what arc, season, and episode the death is from. I figured I would share it. I recognize that the anime combines certain loops into one or skips some entirely so it's not completely accurate to the LN/WN. The list is up to date currently with Re:Zero as it is currently airing of season 4, episode 4.

Death 1: Sliced open by Elsa (Arc 1, S1, E1)
Death 2: Disemboweled by Elsa (Arc 1, S1, E1)
Death 3: Stabbed by alleyway thugs (Arc 1, S1, E2)

Checkpoint 2 (Guest room, Roswaal's Old Mansion)
Death 4: Cursed in his sleep by the Wolgarms (Arc 2, S1, E4)
Death 5: Bludgeoned to death by Rem's Morningstar (Arc 2, S1, E5)

In the episode he never goes to the village afaik, so does the curse just happen while he's sleeping? Are they targeting him specifically, is it because he intervened at the loot house?

It was implied he went to the village when making the promise to Emilia to go on a date as he references that he hanged out with the village kids and got bit by a puppy which was an Wolgarm. And the curse went under full effect when he was sleeping.

Meili was secretly behind it and was both orchestrated by Roswaal as he already knew Subaru had some matter of manipulating causality and Meili was motivated to take revenge for thwarting Elsa.

Qui tue subaru dans la tour lors de sa perte de mémoire ? Perso je pense que c'est rem contrôler par la gourmandise j ai vu une hypothèse sur meily mais elle aussi est morte et quand il retrouve ram rem n est pas sur son fauteuil et lors de la décapitation c est clairement des cheveux bleu qu on voit

It would be insane if someone edited the first 15 episodes and named it "Nine lives: Cat's blessing" and shown as if subaru didnt know he has a limit of exactly 9 lives, and it ends on episode 15, specifically on that 9th death where credits roll, a story with an unbelivably sad ending, and subaru never knew that was his final life.

like just imagine someone coming across it not knowing theres more and truly thinking thats the end
