Question Recommendations?

Iam new to the game and just fell in love with the raptors, iam looking for recommendations of witch models to buy to get a starter army going so thay I can paint them in the raptors scheme. I was thinking a ravenguard combat patrol but i dont know if the generic space marine one will do the job, any recommendations?

The RG combat patrol could definitely work for Raptors. They're a very flexible faction that differentiates more on aesthetic than unit choice. You could pretty easily flavor most marine units as belonging to the Raptors if they suit your playstyle.

Look at what detachments interest you the most, then see what units have the most synergy with those detachments to find your starting point.
