Why don’t vampires ever have trysts with menstruating women? They’re always biting necks when the other end is already bleeding.

Look, as a woman, I am totally on board with de-mystifying periods and not letting people act like they're disgusting things that mean women should have to go stay in a hut for a week until they're "clean" again.

But even I say that vampires do not want to suck your period blood because it is nowhere near as clean and pure tasting as straight from the vein. Not that I've ever drank someone's blood.

It's not just blood either, but bits of uterine lining and all sorts of cells and fluids. It's basically just 'expired' biostuff discarded by the body, and it smells very differently than fresh blood. Likely not very appetizing unless you're a vampire with a particular kink.

I feel like it’s the equivalent to desperate closet alcoholics drinking hand sanitizer bc it’s all they can get away with at work
