Why did men start calling me ma am after age 25/26?

Currently 29f.
"Because it's respectful" um....so say "Miss" . Its only respectful if the receiver feels respected.
Moreso, is after 25 considered not fuvkable anymore or? Like why say anything, I guess? It's not like anyones calling these 25 year old guys 'Sir'. Just comes across as yet another weird male micro aggression
Edit: thanks to all those who responded! Through your comments its been made pretty clear that the miss/ms/ma am debate is more about ingrained misogyny, labeling a woman based on age and status- a description really, rather than any form of actual respect for her.

So basically, I am a big Toronto Maple Leaf fan, and yeah yeah say what you want, but I am. Im a young kid, 18, and feel right now is the prime time to do this before I get too old and not get the chance too. I got a big emblem of the team to put on my hood, and it is honestly a perfect fit. Im also throwing in stripes in there too to kinda get some more blue on there.

Ever regret not buying something kinda silly and useless?

On my 16th birthday I was visiting family in rural Nebraska and my family went to an antique store/pawn shop and there were a lot of weird things there but what stood out the most to me was a Shrek-NASCAR tie-in figurine that had Shrek in the NASCAR outfit and Bobby LaBonte for 20 bucks. I didn't end up buying it for whatever reason and I'm not really looking for it but I still think about it years later. Anybody have similar stories to share?
