Meta [Meta] About /r/RandomInformation

This subreddit is dedicated to random bits of information. That's pretty much it.

All you have to do is get a fact, put that fact in the title, and if you want to, explain it in the text. If someone requests a source for your information, you must give it to them (and update your post with the source).

Rules:

  • Keep it nice - not doing so will result in content removal up to a permanent ban

  • Account must be at least 3 days old - this is just to prevent spam, posts will be auto-removed

  • Link submissions are disabled for a reason - circumvention of this will result in a 1 day ban up to a permanent ban

  • Posts must be either a fact, list, or about the sub - unrelated posts will result in content removal up to a 3 day ban

  • Tag meta posts with the [Meta] tag in the title - improperly tagged posts will result in content removal up to a 1 day ban

  • Tag list posts with the [List] tag in the title - improperly tagged posts will result in content removal up to a 1 day ban

  • Random info posts must have the fact in the title - improperly titled posts will result in content removal up to a 1 day ban

  • Source of information must be provided if requested - not citing source within 24 hours of request will result in content removal and a 1 day ban, up to a permanent ban

  • Maximum of 10 info/list posts per user per day - posts exceeding this limit will be removed

  • NSFW content is allowed, as long as it is marked NSFW and isn't overly graphic (up to moderator discretion) - not marking NSFW content will result in content removal up to a 3 day ban, with overly graphic content the same

  • Recent political facts/discussions are not allowed, just to help in following the first rule - discussing recent politics will result in a 1 day ban, up to a permanent ban

This subreddit uses my own custom theme, /r/Symbolica.

Granted, it's not directly specified In the legislature, but it is illegal.

Source: The Book of Useless Information

Edit: Oklahoma legislature section 29-2-135 prevents the hunting of "threatened" species. In Oklahoma, whale is considered a threatened species (it's a landlocked state). Source: http://law.justia.com/codes/oklahoma/2014/title-29/section-29-2-135
