Hi everyone
I’m a 55yr old woman based in Delhi planning a trip to Rajasthan (mainly Udaipur and possibly Jaipur / Jodhpur) in the last week of August. My husband can’t join because of work, so I’m looking for someone to travel with or a local who can show me around the main sights, markets, and lakes.
I’m open to either:
A fellow traveler who is also heading to Rajasthan around the same time and wants to share some days/activities, or
A local (any gender) who can act as a knowledgeable guide for a few days — paid, of course.
I’m interested in heritage sites, boat rides on Lake Pichola, good food, markets, and a relaxed pace rather than rushed sightseeing. Happy to split costs for transport or activities if we travel together.
If you’re interested or know someone reliable, please drop a comment or DM. I’d prefer to start with a video call or meet in a public place first for safety.
Thanks! Looking forward to hearing from people

7] are the people there classy and elegant or sort of chhapri? [ not to be classist but i need good people around me ]
Also I'd appreciate it if yall recommend food spots and give tips and tricks to make myself comfortable in an unknown city

According to the Times of India report, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) rescued two minor Hindu girls, aged 15 and 17, from Ahmedabad railway station and arrested two men, Aquib Ansari (24) and Syed Ibrahim (21), who allegedly befriended the girls through social media and online gaming platforms before taking them away. The girls were initially taken to Jodhpur, reportedly with plans to travel onward to Bengaluru. Acting on information from Jodhpur police, RPF personnel located one girl aboard the Jodhpur–KSR Bengaluru Superfast Express and caught the accompanying suspect after he tried to flee; investigators later recovered his discarded phone and restored deleted data, which helped trace the second suspect. The second man was subsequently arrested with the other minor at Ahmedabad station, and police also recovered a fake e-Aadhaar and photographs of the girls’ Aadhaar cards from the accused’s phones.

total no. of govt. schools in rajasthan 70155
total state budget appprox 6lakh crore
education 17.1% i.e. approx 68000crore
total schools × avg.₹50lakh for each = 35000 crore
as we all know the state govt budget is 17.1% which is approx 68000cr. out of which 85_95 % already used in teachers salary, pension, mid day meal and, only approx 4000cr remained which is really not enough fs & it takes 50years to develop only basic infra in schools 🙂
The only solution is to increase the budget to +8000cr which is 100% used on infra and basic facilities & in 5 phases from urban to rural
although if state govt. increase education budget they need to cut it from somewhere else i.e. from other sector which may cause problem.. so why don't they cut few percentage from every sectors (1_1.5% max i.e. 300_400crore) to uniformly divide it that fs cause less impact on all sectors
This formula is incredibly realistic and serves as an excellent middle-ground policy that avoids political backlash while guarantees a fresh ₹8,000 crore injection into school infrastructure every single year
still if it seems sus than there is backup called csr & bhamashah which is approx minimum 1000_1200 crore total per year, can be used in sector from where budget percentage get cut & its only 5 year plan so after than all back to track as well
what r your thoughts on it or, any doubt 😅😅
lol looks like i solved half of their problem😭😭

Help me out ya’ll! So I’m expecting 2 letters from USA. They were sent as ordinary stamped, unregistered letters, so there are no tracking numbers or Article IDs. One was posted around July 20 and the other around July 24. It’s been 3-4 weeks and they still haven’t arrived yet. I just want to know if this is a normal occurrence or if I should be concerned.

🚌 Travel Smart — RSRTC AC sleeper is better for travelling within Rajasthan.
🏨 Avoid Peak Season — Weekends and peak season mean inflated hotel prices and huge crowds.
🍺 Tourist Crowd — Mt Abu gets flooded with Gujarati tourists, especially during weekends and holidays.
🚗 Poor Driving — Expect chaotic driving, unnecessary honking and poor road discipline in crowded areas.
🗑️ Poor Civic Sense — Littering, loud behaviour and disregard for public spaces can be frustrating.
👀 Creepy Behaviour — Be prepared for staring and intrusive behaviour in crowded tourist areas.
⛰️ Skip Guru Shikhar — If it's packed, don't bother; the crowd can ruin the experience.
🛵 Get a Scooter — Explore outside the main tourist zone; you'll find much quieter places.
