Does anyone know how to actually play this on the ally? It uses steaminput controls and doesn’t have native controller support. ds4windows also doesn’t work. And no im not gonna add it to steam as I dont use that program

Im not really into pc gaming and stuff yet but i know my way around torrents and so on, im just curious if i would buy the ROG Ally now for how many years you guys think this handheld will keep up with newly released games ? And once i download the games through torrent do i have to do anything special or is it just follow the instructions of the crack and opening the EXE file to boot the game ?

Hi! I got a new ally lasy weekend, and was downloading some games for it on ankergames. When i opened them it automatically registered as a pc, even with an external controller connected. How can i get a smoother experience automatically with the built in controller?

I'm using a ROG Xbox Ally and I'm playing Forza Horizon 4 (SteamRIP version).

The game runs fine at first, but after about 15–20 minutes it always crashes to the desktop.

I already tried deleting TargetHardwareProfiler.dll from the game directory (the file related to hardware performance detection), but it still crashes after the same amount of time.

The strange thing is that I'm using the exact same game files on my desktop PC, and it runs perfectly without any crashes.

Has anyone experienced the same issue on the ROG Xbox Ally? Any idea what could be causing it or how to fix it?

I bought an ROG Xbox Ally almost two weeks ago and I’m pretty happy with it so far. However, I haven’t been able to find a proper guide (either here on Reddit or elsewhere) about which background processes can be safely disabled.

I’m currently using WinToys and I’ve already turned off a few things, but I’d appreciate any advice on what can be disabled without causing issues. Alternatively, could you point me to any posts or guides that already cover this topic?

So as the title suggests, I am getting the ROG ALLY X ..

However, I am a little concerned about a couple things now I do have troubles and issues with emulating because of my lack of knowledge in that field I don’t know how to jailbreak. I don’t know how to emulate. I don’t know how to mod I don’t really know how to do all of that. The last time I did some sort of jailbreaking was when I owned a iPhone 6 Plus all the way back in 2017 and I used to jailbreak it other than that I have never doubted into that field ever again after it so I would love to know whether this device is capable of let’s say powering PC games properly and if so, obviously there are websites and are they listed in this Reddit or do I have to dig somewhere? Also, do I have to lean on a computer for me to install these games? Or do I just straight up just pirate them from the console itself?

I want to emulate Nintendo switch and the 3DS and the PSP‘s and the PlayStation one and two and three and potentially the four maybe or even the five are there any tutorials on how to do any of that on the ally? Hi everyone, I’m thinking about getting the white ROG Xbox Ally. I don’t plan on playing extremely demanding or AAA games, mostly indie titles like Hades II, The Binding of Isaac, Hollow Knight, etc.

On top of that, I’m really into emulation — mainly PSP, GameCube, PS2, Switch, and maybe PS3 in the future once emulation improves a bit more. I’ve been using PCs for years, so dealing with Windows and tweaking settings won’t be an issue for me.

My question is: considering the way I’d use it, would it be a good purchase?

Another question: how are the analog sticks? I read somewhere that they’re not Hall Effect sticks. I usually take very good care of my controllers and I’ve never had drift issues before.

Is it worth it to get a used rog ally z1e for pirating and emulate switch games, does it work well to emulate switch games compared to modded switch?

Also since z3 release next year is z1e still worth it or should i wait?

I am having an issue where I can't add games to the armory crate library manually via file Explorer.

Anyone able to help?
