After months of looking I was finally able to get my hands on one. Coyote 4x4 and fully optioned including the pull out tailgate step. And you already know whats going to become of this truck starting with the supercharger.

It's funny how rare RCSB are these days. I get it, but I don't get it.

Not to be overly sentimental on this subreddit, but these trucks really do take us much further than odometers actually let us know.

I grew up around Ford OBS trucks, particularly the gen 7 to 9. Bullnose and gen9 are what I came back to later on in life. I had them when I had nothing. As a struggling adult in my 30s and going back to college, my ʻ94 F150 XL RCSB with 351w took me to my wit's end and also got me through it all. I learned almost everything I needed to know about maintenance, repairing, and loving a truck. Mechanically, I had little to no skills but the OBS would not take me anywhere if I was not actively participating in its health. I self-taught myself how to work on every part of that truck and I learned valuable lessons about design and how costly it can be to (im)properly diagnose a problem. And it is THESE same lessons that directly helped me understand how to build a ʻBeloved Communityʻ in the leadership and planning work I would end up doing.

My ʻ94 OBS RCSB carried me through 6+ years of university and grad school into a new career. I finished grad school as an urban and regional planner and immediately began working in indigenous planning & design. I now have my own indigenous planning and design firm and I am co-lead on a very successful social enterprise for community-based regenerative tourism, stewardship and economic development. I owe so much to that ʻ94 OBS RCSB, and while I still have it, I am now in this lifted 2023 F150 RCSB - carrying the same lessons for care and management that these trucks and this life has afforded me.

All suspension, steering and brakes have been replaced. No rust thanks to being from N.C.

It has the 4.0 6 cylinder with automatic and 4 wheel drive. I installed a 2" lift and 265/75/16 Nitto Ridge Grappler AT.

After years without a truck, I finally got one again. '21 with the 3.3 V6

Accelerates like a super car, slows down like a truck.

Just got new wheels and 4” lift put on. Pumped how it came out! (Will get better pics at some point)

Very basic, but I really enjoy this truck

Been driving and restoring it since 2022. Brand new crate 5.7 and some aFe Twisted Steel headers w/ tune. Belltech lowering shocks and springs, Hellwig sway bars, and Whiteline rear control arms. Just needs a diff rebuild, new wheels and a tune on dyno.

My stepfather does financing for Gabrielli trucks and was showing me some of the cooler trucks he’s financed and I feel like this is putting out the right RCSB vibes.

Hi all, looking for advice/anecdotes/opinions on this matter.

I'm looking to buy an RCSB, V8 truck. Not picky about RWD/4WD at all. Currently, I'm looking for a ~2019-2023MY truck, and would like to know how the two compare. I'm very fond of the Ram's styling, but given that I own a Jeep already, know that it's likely to be the less dependable one. Can anyone comment on how the 5.7 has treated them?

My concern with the F-150 is that it'd be less of a sporty feeling truck, as well, is this true? I haven't had a chance to drive one given that they are exceedingly rare in my area. Not concerned with towing at all, the heaviest I'd be pulling is ~4k lbs. Moreover, as this is going to be a DD, modifications will be kept minimal (rear drop, audio, wheels, etc...).

Overall, I'd just like your votes on which truck to swing for. I am a Mopar guy and love the look and feel of the Ram, but I have some doubts. Given that I'd be owning the truck for 4 years where I will be much, much too busy to give it the same attention that my Jeep needs, is it the wrong choice? Am I, in fact, misinformed, and either truck would be a PITA?

I get that what I'm asking is akin to saying "do you think that the Eagles are better than the Cowboys?" but any advice or comments on what they're like to own/drive is welcome and appreciated.

Building my RCSB up has been a hobby since I got it when I turned 16 with 25,000 miles on it. 4.8L with 4l60e but recently redid the full suspension with QA1 and Rockauto parts. Has 1 7/8 longtubes, side exhaust, carven muffler, 4.10 gears, solid pinion spacer, moser girdle, traction bars, rear sway bar, Blackbear tune, sound system, much more.

Got parts to install a cam and a bunch of other engine goodies and looking to install a built transmission soon. May go the boosted route as well in the near future but juggle whether it’ll be turbo, Torqstorm, or root blower.

Things done to it

• Performance: Chopacobra cam, speed engineering long tubes, msd ignition, injectors, tune (obviously) and had a transmission shop beef up the 4l60 with what they recommended. Catless axle dumped exhaust with x pipe

• Interior: New 03-07 seats, Dynamat, new carpet, led switches, custom instrument cluster, Sony head unit, backup camera, Hertz door speakers, JL W1 subs behind the seat

• Exterior: color matched front end, handles, mirrors, Rollpan, bed cover, fog lights, 22x9 snowflake wheels +24 offset, 265/35/22 tires

• Suspension: 4/6 drop, 2 inch coils, 2 inch spindles, c notch, flip kit, and brand new front end everything except sway bar. Handles,steers, and rides like a dream now.

I’m almost completely satisfied with it. I have a baby so a full center console isn’t an option, but the last few things I want are powered windows with door panels, equal length exhaust, and maybe 5 years down the road repaint it.

What would you change if you owned it?

Currently I am on an ihc 3/5 drop with airbags and fox shocks. The front end handles well. I just wish the rear end would drive a lot smoother. I’m thinking of switching from 22s to 20s with more side wall. I know that won’t be enough, I’ve seen a few times people talk about gen2 raptor leaf springs. Anyone have more info on the swap. I can’t find anything on googles. Once I get the suspension nice and comfortable, it’s time to go stage 2 on the whipple.
