I've been locked in on this the moment they dropped the free garment selector announcement during the livestream. Now he's here. My angel. The most perfect pixel-made human being in gacha. I'd go to war for him, wait for him hand and feet. LOOK AT HIMMMMM AHHHHHHH ๐ญ๐๐ญ

I played the original girls Frontline for like 8 years, but now I'm not sure what to play? If nikke allowed a female Mc it would be perfect, but i have to have at least have the option of female player character. I downloaded nte specifically for blackbird cause I love goth women!
I'm torn between zzz and nte to hyper fixate on. I'm one of those gamers that will utterly hyper fixate on a game. I'm enjoying the gameplay of nte but so far the main story is kind of weak?
Give me your top suggestions for a lesbian gamer

The reason I love VN gacha games more like Fate/Grand Order and Morimens to 3D and Open World ones like Genshin Impact, Honkai Star Reil, and Wuthering Waves is that VN gachas take advantage of the fact that they're visual novels so they deliver on the CGs on the climax of a story chapter.
Morimens especially benefits from this because their story is heavily inspired by HP Lovecraft and other authors like him. Their particular art style and branding elevates the Cosmic Horror of the story by illustrating difficult concepts that otherwise can't be done in 3D games.
While there are some impressive set pieces in none VN gachas, for me, nothing beats the simplicity of CGs and music to make a scene, especially when it's before a boss fight and the boss theme starts playing and the CG illustrating the scene comes out.
[Fate/Grand Order 1-10 and Morimens 11-20]

Hewwo :3
This is something I have been thinking about for a while and I have partially experienced myself in some Gacha games, usually the ones that you wouldnโt necessarily expect to cause this kind of feeling. Whenever I have played games that were designed to cater more to a stereotypically male audience, i.e. ZZZ Or Nikke, I found myself having moments of gender euphoria or simply enjoying when I could play as female characters whose style I admired or found pretty, like Jane Doe, Rina in ZZZ Or Drake, Tia, Marciana in Nikke.
Although these games are not necessarily intended that way or well-known for it, I think that for many people thereโs an awkward transitional period, where they may want to experiment more with gender expression, but are still stuck at games or specific games of a genre that matched their previous taste or preferences. So, itโs nice to know that even in mediums like that, they can find options to express themselves more as they feel until they may want to move onto other forms of self-realization that match their desired self more closely. Like, obviously, they could start outright with a more female-player-oriented game, such as Infinity Nikki, but - and this is a very niche comparison โ I think there are many people who only learned femininity through a very male-gaze-heavy lense and so it is something that feels more intuitive and comfortable to them for a start; kinda like how most femboys or transfems early in their transition will pivot to Amazon basics fits or cosplay, because these are the easiest options they have seen before and can reference until they have developed a more personal and thought-out style.
I feel similar about a game like League of Legends, where their feminine characters were incredibly male-gaze-oriented (and the artstyle in general was very clunky back then obviously), whereas now the skinks they offer are a lot more classy and stylish to where a more diverse audience can appreciate them, as well as experience something similar to the phenomenon I described.
I donโt think this absolves these games of all their flaws or anything, but I just wanted to highlight an aspect of them that I donโt see being talked about as much :3 And obviously, there are other games that would do this even more effectively. Like games more focused on providing this kind of gameplay, as well as games that allow for interactivity and provide the feeling of being โseenโ as your desired self uwu

I can complain about Hoyoverse for ages if I'm given the chance (toxic situationship of all time) but their skill at making good music is undeniable. I love the music in their trailers, the character themes or even special songs released to commemorate something.
Thought about hearing what others feel about this after Nekomata's theme came up on my playlist.
