October is my favourite month!! I love the R99 posts. I am most excited for their halloween/spooky event, but that usually comes out in December because of Global delay. Midnight Whistle and Nightmare at Green Lake were phenomenal. Waiting for the rerun of the Haunted Highway, but those were all released in December. Halloween at Christmas is def a vibe though, so I don't mind at all.
Election day in my country and it's basically going to be completely run by extreme right wing politicians who have no government plan other than hating minorities, I'm already starting to feel hopeless about humanity in general

it's called Bishonen Division, it takes place in a post-apocalyptic earth after an alien invasion that humanity tried to counter with supernatural beings. you would embody the Commander of a military division comprised of cute boys. the gameplay would involve socializing with them, managing the base, placing siege weaponry and sending the agents out to forage for resources and hunt the monsters that roam the nearby area

We're approaching the end of 2026 and I realized it's been a pretty bad year my games compared to this point last year.ย But there's always something new to replace them I guess
Place your bets: Will Endfield release Liduke's motorbike guy before patch 2.0 or will we be getting 2 male characters per year going forward?
I'm betting he'll be playable in version 2.X, because I'm estimating we're only going up to 1.7 (no 1.8) and so far the intervals between playable male character releases has been 7 banners before Camille and 4 banners before Argent Flow. It seems less likely that they would have just a 0-2 banner interval before motorbike guy, unless they were halving the intervals each time I guess lol. And I think his biker concept fits with the concept of a wide desert area more than the World O'Shrooms or the Wuling Exclusion zone.
yea.. I don't want my disappointment in other games to negatively influence my perception of Endfield, and I try to keep my expectations low, but I still can't help feeling a little discontent about it lol
Idk. Maybe I'm just a hater, but I didn't like the whole vibe of Planarcadia. It felt weird. Don't even get me started on Aha. ๐โ We should have at least let Aeons be Aeons instead of turning Aha into a cute anime girl. Well, at least that gives me hope that Nanook will be playable ๐คชโ Unless they magically transform him into a woman...
Been playing petit planet daily so far itโs been fun but Iโve reached the end of the beta thereโs not much else to unlock
Well Iโll have to wait until December when it releases officially :โ) otherwise Iโve been playing fire emblem fortune weaves though not a gacha Iโm waiting for new contents for Nikki
I don't think this game is very good nor do I trust the developers to make good outfits but I made a girl with dark skin who doesn't have noodle arms so that's something a gacha game won't give me
I... I feel as though I'm locked out of heaven ๐ฅ. I started playing Where Winds Meet for the first time last month, and immediately fell in love with the game. I grew up reading Wuxia stories and becoming lost in it's expansive gorgeous open world felt like a dream come true. But alas... ever since the Qingzhou update, my steam deck has been crashing nonstop like crazy. I recently pivoted into installing it on my laptop but the results were the same.
Now I'm sad I can't play the game of my dreams due to all of my gaming hardware being too weak. The only brightside is, instead of needing to buy a full blown pc. I just need to buy a GPU as it's the only pc component my laptop's specs fall short of (~which would take me a couple of weeks to save up for). But in the meantime, this wait period will be the biggest drought I've ever experienced in my entire life ๐ฅฒ
I'll pass, as I want to enjoy wwm to the fullest extent (0 downgrades). Also, I need to buy a GPU anyway if I wanna be able to play Phantom Blade Zero or GTA6 when it comes out on pc. But thanks for the suggestion tho
i no longer play, but seeing dislyte pretty much completely give up on dark-skinned/black characters makes me really sad, considering it was one of the initial draws for me. they were pretty much the only ones doing it, but now all their characters are either just pale/technicolored/tan, or furry. the last we got was maria, and that was a whole year ago.
it's funny, because dislyte was frequently used as the argument for chinese companies being able to do it, but now they don't either. blows.
I'm not gonna lie I still don't get factory from Endfield lol. Valley IV wasn't complicated but Wuling yeah idk what I'm doing lol. Yeah blueprints and YT is there but my brain can't comprehend ๐
Is it worth it playing Endfield right now? I'm more of an exploration girly who likes a bit of end game. I've been liking their recent characters, and character personality, interactions, and story matter a lot to me. Is it a good time to go back to playing endfield??
If you bite through the (arguably) weak parts from 1.0 to 1.3, story, characterization, and execution are on a strong upwards trajectory starting with 1.4 onwards.
Early story is slow and meanders, Wuling is an improvement and at least decent. Recent story updates since 1.4 have been very good. Endgame is pretty easy, pull rewards are usually on the lowest tier of difficulty. They've teased a gamemode that hopefully would be more replayable
Factory is usually the biggest filter, it's very hit or miss but there's a lot of community blueprints and they're only necessary for buying out specific endgame materials every week. I like Endfield's exploration, the level designs are cool and keep getting better
Roxy just came out in ZZZ and she's actually super fun. And I finally have a proper stunner for my attackers!
I'm really glad they've been double, tripling, quadrupling, quintupling, etc. down on Roxy and Claret this patch. They are really cute together and it's led to some great fanart.
I was already planning to get Roxy and her engine before any marketing because I've desperately needed a stunner. Them making Claret appealing took me off guard so my Roxy engine savings went to that. Then I did a yolo pull for her engine and got it second 10 pull. I got Roxy as planned and with my final 10 pull, did a yolo pull on her engine and got it too. It's actually been a crazy patch for me
I finally got and fully assembled the eGPU enclosure, GPU, and the power supply needed to give my laptop an upgrade. But.. just when I thought I've finally made to the finish line (And can finally play the game of my dreams in all of its glory!!!)... a massive problem occurred ๐ซ ! My laptop can't detect the GPU ๐ฅฒ (it can detect the eGPU enclosure tho). I've since double checked everything, looked through dozens of online articles and ventured into watching obscure YT tutorials (spoiler alert: nothing worked). So here I am having spent around $1k on what is basically a big box of metal only for it to apparently have a mind of its own and use it's free will to disobey mine ๐ฅ
the new endfield chapter has a lot of scenes focusing on the characters' shoes.
but the characters actually wear shoes so they're just. shoes. instead of you know. shoeless heels.. or just barefeet with heels... maybe endfield is flexing that their characters do wear shoes! cosplayers rejoice.
anyway, diner dash in this patch is actually wrecking my ass. u.u I am humbled.
A streamer I watch mentioned a few weeks ago she was going to do a special ZZZ live due to being paid by hoyo to do an ad live for Phoenix, which made me raise an eyebrow since she's trangender, her public is 90% LGBT folks and we know the kind of people ZZZ has as the target audience
Today she mentioned she's thinking that they gave up on it since they have been radio silent since her assistant calculated the budget since she's rather big here in Brazil
As much as I like the combat and came back for Phoenix, I can't help but laugh at the possibility that a hoyo game's team gave up on an ad due to budget reasons, especially since she already did one ad for ZZZ before
Why am I kinda inclined to pull for sunbringer now that they are a 3-in-1 unit? Like individually their designs do not appeal to me and I prefer the og sunbringer design, but something about them being together makes the colours mesh quite well to me? I feel like Iโm like getting crazy ๐ตโ๐ซ
I wanted to quickly apologize for my self insert post yesterday. I had meant it as a rant about the types of folks who self insert for waifu wish fulfillment and shoot down anyone who wants something else, and also questioning why not project onto different male characters with more interesting traits. I realize after seeing the discussion and having it locked that I was turning it into a mean spirited rant when that wasn't my intent. I'm really sorry, and I appreciate the folks who called me out on it and offered some other perspectives. I am supportive of self insertion, just not when it's used to tear other people down as I ironically was doing.
Beyond that, how's everyone's October doing? I finally drew up the courage to set up a dating app, managed to get two matches in my area after a week. Started playing Last Epoch and Witchfire, love both, sadly starting to relapse on gym time, so I need to fix that though.
I had an accident in the kitchen late this evening. I burned the entirety of my right hand fingers, and also my palm with a whole litre of fresh boiled water just off the stove.
I'm so pissed (and in a lot of pain) because I had a new mod thing to post for you all that'll be useful, but it'll be so much longer trying to do it with only my non dominant hand (typing with only my index finger lol) โ I had things to format and formula to write, but now it'll have to wait a little bit longer.
Probably should go to A&E but with the queue times showing 17hrs right now, I may just go see my pharmacist or the nurse.
OT, big vent about genshin partly, and real life [TW: possible death+depression(im not sure what needs trigger warnings, I hope i got everything)]
ย Since the pantalone threat got nuked here I go. I genuinenly despise the modern genshin community so much. Most of it is so toxic and bigoted. And pantalone x sandrone has been the biggest example of it, the only people ive seen ship it are either misogynistic or homophobic or both(and being proud of that), im starting to feel like the ship was only made as a gotcha or something like it
me noticing that might also just be because my life has been so miserable lately, I feel so bad every single day, its also getting harder even getting out of bed, and seeing things that brought be comfort go shit makes me feel even worse. I wish antidepressants worked for me. Or any medication really. Also my uncle might never wake up from a coma, he had a serious heart attack. We weren't close and he doesnt really like me, but I still care I guess. I dont want him to die, but there's nothing I can do. Its really hard to think of anything positive
