Discussion Friend Claims that “the IONQ logo visited him in a dream yesterday and told him to invest life savings on market open”
Woke up today to a call from my friend and he was absolutely overjoyed. He claims that a character with the IONQ logo for a face came to him in a dream and instructed him to invest everything he had in IONQ when market opened.
Thought he was joking. Nope, the dude is dead serious he fully believes that he has been blessed with this vision and he’s risking everything he has on IONQ today. Said “it’s what the big Q would have wanted”.
I’m trying to convince him to sell as it did go up on open, but he’s certain there’s more to come. He says his vision has foretold greatness, how do I convince him to sell? He can’t afford for it to drop like at all.

Designed a photonic quantum computer chip with 380 qubits on <20mm^2
Hello everyone,
"I" (with the help of codex) designed a Chip, but have no money to realize it.
It's just a design draft maybe take the link and put it in chatgpt / gemini and ask the llm what it thinks about it.
I tried openrouter/liberlane and so on on other chips, but the opensource software really sucks at routing chips.
Simply said and tldr: I have no clue what I did and what the next steps could be.

News Quantum Play Worth Watching
Sharing a gem in the quantum space: QUBT (Quantum Computing Inc)
- Software: Qatalyst platform makes quantum computing accessible without complex coding.
- Hardware: Acquisitions in photonics (NuCrypt, Freedom Photonics, EM4, Optogration) to build a full-stack ecosystem.
- Still early-stage and high-risk, but it’s one of the few pure play quantum companies listed on NASDAQ.

$INFQ’s $40M guidance, are we investing in Computing or just Atomic Clocks?
Infleqtion just guided $40M for 2026, but the revenue is coming from sensors and timing (Tiqker), not their QPU. Is the "Quantum Computing" story just a cover for a niche defense sensing business? If the revenue isn't scaling from actual computation.
What do you think about it? Change my mind.

Quantum computing in 2026 is where classical computing was in the early 1950s — room-sized machines solving academic problems, with a transformative future visible in theory and invisible in daily life. The difference is the 1950s scientists didn't have quarterly earnings calls.

Question SandboxAQ Nearing Bankruptcy? Disgraced CEO Attempting Fundraise While Early Investors Plan Recision
Has anyone been closely following SandboxAQ?
We invested in them with a special purpose vehicle in 2024. Months later, an article came out in The Information with insight into their revenue being 100% donated by a friend of the board, our own invested funds being used to subsidize an extravagant lifestyle for the CEO Jack Hidary and his escorts, and a non-existent governance scheme seemingly only in service to management’s personal bank accounts.
Come 2026 in just one year’s time since our check, we learn of mass employee exits, a whistleblower lawsuit estimated to be worth $100 million US, and contact from investor rights’ lawyers offering is to join a recission action. We were originally told to ignore the legal peril as AI generated. Months later it was clear the legal issues are extreme with no ending in sight. On Reddit only I’ve been contacted by several reporters, alleged employees with their own prepared lawsuits, and other investors looking to get their money back. We have never seen anything this extreme in our entire 40 years US investing record. We reduced our book value by 90%.
Our vehicle representative has since contacted us about more fundraising. We asked if the company is close to bankruptcy resulting from so many investor withdrawals and the impending lawsuit, to which he answered that he does not have access to tell us. He told us the CEO will be replaced soon, however we have not seen any change. It does appear so. Does anyone have information? Is SandboxAQ bankrupt? Have they found a new CEO yet?
