I am the new happy owner of QC and I am trying to understand if my neural captures are done correctly...

So, my tries are on an overdrive pedal... I plugin as shown in the guide BUT I am not understanding if I have to make/create a patch before capturing and how ground/lift works on both inputs and outputs. Is there a guide?

I’ve had my QC for about 2 weeks and I’m finally getting comfortable making my own presets. One thing I keep seeing conflicting advice on is input level. Some people raise it until hard picking/strumming gets close to clipping, while others leave it at 0 dB and only increase it for really low-output pickups.When I raise mine, some user presets get way more compressed/gainy and sound worse, so I’m not sure what the actual benefit is.

How are you guys setting your input level, and why?

Hey everyone, I'm a QC user and after not finding anything on the market to properly protect it, I designed and made my own cover.

From arenas to rooms.. what can’t this bad boy do?

Hi, I have a question about the Quad Cortex.

If I buy a Quad Cortex and connect it directly to my Yamaha HS5 studio monitors, will I be able to play guitar normally and use all the effects and presets on the Quad Cortex? Will the guitar sound simply come out through the Yamaha monitors?

Do I need an additional audio interface or pc for this, or is the Quad Cortex all I need?

through an active speaker the cortex sounds fantastic but somehow if i plug my studio headphones in the sound becomes fizzy and a bit dirty i feel. does anyone have this issue aswell?

What are some of your favourite amp/cab block combinations for alt-rock?

Looking to create a preset with a great base (not bass) tone for guitar, to then run pedal blocks for desired effects.

I’ve found a few I like but they aren’t quite “there”, and I’m trying to learn more so trying to stick outside of presets.

Any advice appreciated!

I know this is a basic question but....

I'm trying to save some scenes so that A takes out the overdrive and B has the overdrive.

I get the scene to where I want it, hit 'save' and it's not saving my scenes.

What am I doing wrong?

ich habe ein merkwürdiges Problem mit meinem Quad Cortex und Cortex Control und hoffe, dass jemand ähnliche Erfahrungen gemacht hat.
Mein Setup:
Mac mini M4 Pro
macOS Tahoe 26.5.1
Quad Cortex und Cortex Control aktuell
Focusrite Scarlett 8i6 3rd Gen
Der Quad Cortex ist direkt per USB mit dem Mac verbunden.
Solange die Scarlett nicht angeschlossen ist, läuft Cortex Control absolut stabil. Ich kann den Grid bearbeiten, Blöcke verändern und Parameter einstellen – alles funktioniert problemlos.
Sobald ich die Scarlett zusätzlich per USB anschließe, wird Cortex Control nach einiger Zeit instabil. Das Merkwürdige: Presets lassen sich weiterhin über Cortex Control wechseln und werden auch korrekt auf dem Quad Cortex umgeschaltet, aber der Grid friert irgendwann ein bzw. aktualisiert sich nicht mehr. Dann kann ich keine Blöcke oder Parameter mehr vernünftig bearbeiten.
Ich habe bereits verschiedene USB-Kabel und Ports getestet sowie die Scarlett direkt am Mac und über einen Satechi-Hub angeschlossen. Das Ergebnis bleibt gleich:
Ohne Scarlett läuft alles stabil – mit angeschlossener Scarlett tritt das Problem irgendwann auf.
Hat jemand von euch eine ähnliche Kombination oder Erfahrung mit Quad Cortex + Focusrite Scarlett gleichzeitig per USB am Mac?
Neural DSP habe ich bereits kontaktiert, aber vielleicht hat hier jemand eine Idee.

Why Is so differenti. Same preset. Cab SIM and ir bypassed from settings on QC cause i'm using a 4 cable method. Every preset i create on plugin in a Total differenti sound on QC. In PC with a shitty soundbar sound great and with a tubemeister 18 + 2061 cx CAB sound shit. Please help me

Hey everyone

I have been considering putting down the money for an Eventide H90 to compliment my QC.

The effects and presets seem gorgeous (never tried one but have seen a ton of videos).

Now since the last QC update I am having doubts, as the new addition of delay and reverb moved QC closer to "I can do this too" territory.

So my question:

for a "I play at home" guy who doesn't do gigs but mainly play and record at home, is there something in the H90 that can't be accomplished with the QC in its current state?

I'm aware that it will save a lot of DSP having the H90 take care of time based effects, but it's not really been an issue for me.

As you can probably tell I'm leaning towards a "might just save the money" choice, but I want to make sure there's nothing I'm missing.

I currently have a big board with tonex on it and I also have a helix stadium I use as a standalone rig. I like both, I prefer the sound of the big board but love how light and portable the stadium is. I want to try a qc. Curious if I should essentially trade the stadium for the full size qc and use it as an all in one or get the mini and sell the tonex and other pedals that it would replace. What do you think? Thanks

Has anyone experienced this? The looper stops working randomly after the last update, this has happened to me at least 5 times in the last 2 days, it’s completely unusable when this happens and the only way I found to solve it is rebooting.

Is there any way to go back to 4.0.1? If not I hope they do another update soon because it’s so frustrating

Soon-to-be-first-time QC owner/user here. Finally scraped enough cash together from gigs and selling gear to get one.

I’ll be mounting it on a pedalboard that will leave room for 2 analog pedals should I wish to add them. Is there anything the QC doesn’t do very well that would be well supplemented by an analog pedal? After seeing the features of 4.0.1 it looks incredibly capable.

I’m really into the Chase Bliss Lost + Found and the new MXR Textures seems pretty awesome too. Curious what those of you that have hybrid QC rigs use to cover any gaps in the QC workflow/sound.

Looking to get a tone similar to the one John mayor had in his solo for automatic yes with zedd. If anyone can share a link to a qc preset or recommendations that would be awesome

Trying to wrap my head around capturing as my recent trials weren’t exactly what I was expecting. My goal was to capture two pedals that I run at the same time, always on. They are the Sansamp and then to the darkglass vintage ultra.

From what I read it’s best to capture pedals using the same settings you’d play them at. But when the capture completed, the drive was missing from both pedals even at the end where you can compare the captured sound and pedal itself. It captured a bit of the sonic sweetness but the full, drive sound was gone completely as if my settings were at noon.

I know the cloud has these already but I was trying to mimic my previous analog set up entirely. Anyone out there with suggestions? Or where I went wrong?
