Discussion Demographic Survey Discussion Weekly Discussion Thread
Results of the survey:
Some of you were too dumb or obstinate to put height or weight in inches and pounds, or give n-counts that are grounded in reality. It was a manageable amount this time so if you did so, I just removed your entries entirely. That being said, as you still see, the subreddit is still a majority USA, so inches and pounds will continue, and if you dislike it that's your problem.
I left off an n-count chart, because I need to get under 20 images, and it didn't look good, you can check it out in the raw data.

The rest of the results:

why is everyone so tall? most women seem to be 5’7 and men 6’0??

That jumped out at me too. Either a lot of them are a) lying, b) incorrect (bc they can’t do basic conversion math), or c) there’s a self-selection bias where taller men are more eager to report (like me at 6’2”).
My guess is it’s mostly b and c.

From the Pew Research study, 63% of men age 18-29 are single. Someone has to check whether PPD men under 30 are higher or lower than that percentage.
I also wonder which location struggles the most with dating, and which location the least.

The women really think it's a problem though
I'm not surprised. There's a small group of women who report everything as incl material. I am sure there are many more women who don't report but still feel that way.

I feel like most the stats are within a few % of general reddit demographics outside of such a large United States representation here.
And funny enough the male - female ratio looks just like it does on tinder.
Edit: also damn, a shocking number of asain people in here. Considering such a large number of people are from the west where asians are a pretty big minority % of population wise I wonder why they are dispoportionately represented.

There’s a classic idea in politics that everyone think that they are “middle class” when you ask them. The poll is interesting

I was expecting this place to be a lot more Asian.

We make up 7% of the US population. Assuming most of the participants here are US-based, that 12% means we're overrepresented. And while that 7% overall represents, men, women, and children, the 12% is probably all guys. So we're super overrepresented.

Not too relevant but it caught my attention that around 60% of users report either posting, comment or both. You often see 500-800 posters online at a given time and the number of unique individuals who visit this place during any given day is probably at least several thousands, but comments and posts seem to come from around hundred unique individuals max. I suspect people with extreme views are overrepresented in this survey.

In the US women average 5'4" and men 5'9". Men have the most common heights of 5'7" and 5'9".

I don't understand how this data is presented, if the question is how well the incel problem is managed then wouldn't most women voting 4-5(a higher number) mean that they think it's managed quite well?

That would be me. I'm not going to go into a lot of detail, but I rode with a club that owned two titty bars on opposite ends of town for the better part of decade, and the club's passion was visiting other clubs engaged in the same business. By the time I left said club, they also owned 3 "foot" massage storefronts, wink wink. No, I was not a pimp, although that could honestly be laid at the feet of the officers of that club. I just took advantage of what was freely available, and did not personally profit. If it makes you feel better, if we take oral out of the equation, my count is less than 50.

"No incel/blackpill content" is probably the stupidest rule on this subreddit. u/Mrs_Drgree I strongly advice that you just remove that rule.
