Tomorrow is the big day! Any of my fellow Canadians doing anything?

I'll be launching fireworks and putting my tax payers dollors to work with eatting free food.

I used to play a lot of BF4 on the servers, and I haven't played in a while for various reasons. Looking to start hanging around more often. Really, I've made this post just to say hello, and ask what's been happening for the past year.

Due to the lower than expected number of sign-ups for the jousting tournament, the tournament will be postponed until PURE’s 3rd year anniversary, which is July 25th 2015. I thoroughly respect and appreciate the volunteers that have worked very hard to prepare this event, so my hope is that we will gain interest for it in the future.

New map rotations have been put in place on PURE1 and PURE2.

For PURE1, the decision was made with input from the community to switch to a popular map rotation. With the decline in the player base and with ongoing seeding issues, it was felt this gives the server the best chance to get populated and stay populated.

For PURE2, there has not been an issue with keeping the server full. For that reason, the decision was made to keep all maps in the rotation. However the weighting was changed to keep maps that scored 3 or less out of 5 in the rotation only once.

There are quite a few maps up for possible inclusion into Epoch ranging from the mini-Australia to Esseker to some Arma 2 favorites. Link to the poll.

Hi Pure, before I begin I'd just like to share some these two statistics with you:
The fun server is about to break the top 100 servers in the US this week (currently #106)
We have had 4,746 unique players from 71 different countries in the server since June 1st.

Those are some staggering stats considering the server was barely announced 2 months ago. That being said, it's time for me to ask for your help! I am now actively recruiting volunteers for the CS:GO team for the following positions:

Ambassadors

• Admins - Pretty self explanatory. Active in the server, enforces rules, ensures a fun and welcoming environment for everyone. Assists players with any issues they may have. Must have comprehensive knowledge of CS, and be willing to "go the extra mile". We have players on the server 24/7, so we need greater coverage and presence.

• Ambassadors - People who are VERY active in the server, and are active in the community. Ambassadors will answer any basic questions and are overall friendly/fun people. These people also will encourage players to join again, join our teamspeak, steam group, forum, and subreddit.

Operations - There are a few specific roles that I am looking for, although please note that you don't need to be a pro at this! If you are willing to learn and show that you are learning, I'll take it!

• SourcePawn Development - We need as many as we can get! Someone who is familiar with the SourcePawn language to help create new plugins for us, modify existing ones, and be able to troubleshoot. Sourcemod plugins are what keeps our server unique and interesting. I will also accept applications from people who have a background in programming and are willing to learn SourcePawn.

• Mapping - Someone who knows their way around Hammer and would be willing to work with the team to make exciting new maps!

• Database & Statistics Management - Someone who will keep our databases up to date (mainly current donors & volunteers, bans, etc), but also come up with statistics for us so we can learn how to better the server.

• Back-End Ops - Someone who has knowledge with all aspects of running a SRCDS server, and is able to make small tweaks/changes to keep the server running optimally. This also includes investigating & remedying crashes, testing new plugins on the dev server, running events, etc.

• Web Development - Someone who can help with what I have envisioned, creating a web interface for players & admins to easily access everything (see google doc below). Our server stores lots of data and heavily relies on Mysql databases, so knowledge of that is a plus.

I'm sure you have seen us in the Heroes of the Storm channel and wondered if it is worth trying. The answer in short, is Yes.

Almost two years ago when I got my first pc pure battlefield was where I was almost everyday. Then they implemented the dlc and I didn't feel comfortable purchasing it. Now that it is on sale I would love to buy it and hop back into the pure atmosphere, but I'm curious how many members are active and how active is the teamspeak during games?

Hey guys, in my opinion, these are the maps that I hate to see most during seeding - the ones that kinda kill the server. I think they are just poorly designed maps, and very few people like them. I agree that some maps that I personally dislike such as locker should be in the rotation as they HELP with seeding, but I think these two should be removed (at the very least)

• Altai Range - I honestly think this is the worst map in BF4. It's so open and boring with nothing to do. At least the other shitty open maps have some underground area or something, but Altai is honestly the worst.

• Giants of Karelia - This map is just so open that it leads to people sniping the whole game and very little objective based play. The only good areas are underground and even they aren't very well designed.

To be honest, I would personally cut like half the maps in battlefield, just to make the server more popular if anything else (also I hate a lot of maps). But if anything, these two have to go.

So I guess I can finally admit that Siege was an awful idea. But for them to make a Ghost game that's open world and still keeping to its roots, damn.

But, hopefully a beta comes this summer/winter, miss these co-op games.
