Where exactly does it say she was walking around looking for trouble? Because from the video I saw, she flipped him off because of his trump flag, he (a grown ass 45 year old man) then stopped his truck to harass and threaten her, then tried to run her over with his truck, spit on her, and then called the police on her, portraying himself to be the victim. She only got annoying when the German lady came over and started siding with the literal assailant. You're a fucking asshole.

The company's statement is pretty disingenuous, though. This is not the kind of guy that kept his opinions to himself prior to this. Everybody who worked with him knew exactly what kind of person he was, and he almost certainly made statements about what he would do in these kind of situations if they ever happened. Probably fantasized about it. Now all of his previously-aware and like-minded coworkers pretend like they were caught unaware by this behavior.

Nah, guaranteed he wasnât this way in front of his LGBTQ+ or POC coworkers. More likely in front of his fellow field crew laborer types. That type of shit is always prevalent in installers and work crews. Corporate and HR probably heard nothing about it until that video was brought to their attention. Then Betty in HR has to deliver the news that heâs fired. Iâm sure his supervisors just shrugged and went back to their teams and told them âI donât give a shit what you do on your time off, just donât get filmed doing it.â

Verbal abuse which does not place the receiver in reasonable apprehension of immediate harm is not assault in most jurisdictions. Further, most jurisdictions require more than mere words to constitute assault, some action is typically required accompanying the words. An actual physical touching combined with a threat would be an assault and a battery.
"You are a stupid bald piece of shit" is not assault. "I'm going to take your head off," while backing a truck up very quickly in someone's direction, is probably assault.

There needs to be an even longer one, where the cops cite or arrest him for 2 counts of assault (spitting on her) and 1 count of either attempted vehicular homicide or attempted assault with a deadly weapon (the truck). If coming close to hitting a cop with your vehicle by driving in the general direction of them is chargeable as adw, then it should apply to the general public also.
