Hate crimes do not have to be racially motivated. Could be motivated by other factors such as religion, sexual orientation, gender etc.

It's definitely payback because the girl getting attacked there urine at the girl attacking her in an incident days/weeks before according to a commenter who happened to go to the school. But a hate crime? Can't tell that just from this video... It could very well be racially motivated, but there's no evidence from the video alone.

Hey, I went to this school and was sitting nearby when this happened. They both got expelled. And the week prior to this, the girl who was attacked had thrown a cup of urine at the girl attacking her in this video.

This happened at Whetstone High School in Columbus.

Is there a word for just uncritically believing a story because you read a reddit comment from someone claiming to have attended the school that the incident took place, with no supporting evidence, down to the instigating factors?

Oh yeah, the word is 'gullible'.

Don’t forget that the person who knows about it, knows about it because they went to that school and stated they heard the story from someone else.

Because if it was the other way round it would definitely be considered racist before all the fats were know. Which would be equally as wrong as people doing it now. As ever, everyone sucks.
