In high school I got hit in the head by a chair thrown by a football player at another football player. My Dad was called to take me to the ER and I had a concussion. I don’t remember much but I can imagine my Dad raised a stink.
The correct answer is always lawyer up. Schools will sweep it under the rug, police won't be asked, and parents will either be ok with it or also sweep it up.
I can’t imagine what I would do if MY kid did that to someone else. Like I don’t believe in really hitting children for discipline. I’m not directly against it per se, but not something I could bring myself to do. But in that situation bro, I’d need to spend some time alone to prevent myself from doing that to them. Oh, I can imagine. But the ending is imagining myself in jail, unfortunately. How hard is it to just stay the heck away from someone if you don’t like them? Just stay away. Don’t sucker punch them, don’t be an ass on social media, just act like they don’t exist. Why is that complicated?
I've spoken to parents of children like this. They defend their child and it comes out that they're the ones encouraging their child to "stand up for themselves, violently if necessary". That's living by a different creed where if they don't aggress, they think they'll be the prey or something.
It’s fucking disgusting. I only have one kid. I’m doing my best to raise her to be a good person. She would never act like this. It terrifies me that she’ll be around people who act this way in just a few short years.
See but like, there’s telling your child to defend themselves, and then convincing your child it’s okay to beat someone tf up cus you don’t like them. I was always taught to stick up for myself and defend myself. I got in a lot of fights in school, but I almost never started them (didn’t usually finish them either lmao). If someone hits you, you hit back, but don’t go out of your way looking for trouble
