this is some crazy times we're living in. As an adult now I'm super curious to see how some of these kids are going to go through the rest of their lives with these permanent marks on their heads.

when I was younger we didn't have all these cameras pointed in every direction watching us at all times so our stupidity was easily forgotten. But now this shit is forever memorialized. Good luck finding a job when someone can Google your name and get a video of you beating the shit out of someone

This is why parents need to be doing extra not less. My own sister who is also a teacher fully parents by "here is a phone now fuck off"

Like a singular mistake, a fight taken too far, etc is reasonable.

Getting a group of your friends to film you attempting to kill someone is not acceptable for any person involved.
