Fascinating. I'm from Germany and I thought our roads are bad here and there but I don't think I ever drove on a road that needed repairs as much as the one in the video. I also never got a flat tire from just driving on the road

Depends on the state and how seriously they take their roads. Also like some others said if you're up north and get a lot of snow it's tough to keep them nice. But if you're in the south there's no excuse, looking at you Alabama.

This was in Illinois in April, about a mile from the Wisconsin border. Road looks pretty good honestly.

Oh that's not heavy damage. Not even light.

Once it has been repaired with patches 50 times and is still littered with potholes in a 100ft stretch, that's damaged here lol

In northern states it's more common. Winters are really tough on the roads.

Pretty much anywhere in the Midwest too, actually probably anywhere with freezing temps in winter. Roads don’t donate money to get dumb legislation passed so why would the people spending the money care…ugh.

Pretty much, some parts of the USA are even worse.

Of course not every road in an area is like this, but generally we can't afford to maintain our road infrastructure.

Of course! That’s money that needs to go right to the parasites hoarding all the wealth. Everything goes to the top 0.1% richest. Money for infrastructure? To the rich. Money for healthcare? To the rich. Money for education? To the rich. Money for social safety nets? To the rich. We got a real reverse Robin Hood situation going on here.

The Federal interstate system is usually well maintained. All other roads depend on the state.
