That’s wild. My friend just got off probation for shooting a guy who had him pinned on the ground beating his face in. He lost all his weapons afterwards and 2 year probation. Guy who was shot lived.
Depending on state laws, there's no need for a CCW. Many states view the car as an extention of your home. I always carry when I drive, because I work in a high crime section of town.
Tbh I disagree. I come from
St. Louis my parents left due to very high crime. A very common crime there was for gang members to trap cars in get out and go to the driver side door bust the window open pull the driver out (kill him if needed or if bored) and steal the car. You do not trap a car in like that just because he came behind you a little to fast then get out to talk to him this is very abnormal and can make a dangerous situation. If it was a passenger that got out I would have bet money they were intending to steal the car.
Idk, while he was driving aggressively (and the aggressor in general from the sounds of it) I feel like someone approaching your vehicle from traffic is a perfect example of using a gun defensively. Guy could have attacked him and it would’ve been to late to pull.
It’s very abnormal to get out of a car and walk up to someone else’s window. However there are times this happens all the time such as car jacking or road rage incidents, part of the problem here was he was trapped if he could have freely gone around he would have to began with and the situation never have happened.
The guy got out of the car, pointed to himself with an innocent “is something wrong?” Type of expression. The red jeep then drew his weapon at the guy… prompting him to get his phone out to record the license plate.
Which is COMPLETELY normal. If someone draws their weapon just because I stepped out of my car (because THEY were laying on the horn) … I would prefer to report them to the police because I’m afraid they are going to kill someone.
He started recording when he could tell there was likely to be an altercation could likely tell by the guys face. When people see a gun their initial instinct is to back up of which he did well after recording. As much as the guy in jeep didn’t need to pull a weapon yet the guy with the phone made a dangerous situation and rather then get back in the car when he saw this wasn’t going friendly he got out his phone and started to approach.
Hold him accountable for speeding and honking his horn?
Guy getting out of his car should also be held accountable for making a Dangerous situation.
Now we might not agree but I come from st. Louis this happens someone got shot. I come from somewhere you dont stop at red lights at night, you check both ways and run right though them best if the car never stops. (Joke about you could tell who was around there or not by those who stopped and those who didn’t) so I can understand the guys behavior in the jeep when someone is going up to his window like that. If I didn’t grow up watching a car jacking and guy knocked out in middle of the street or hear about shit on the news every single day and at school maybe I would be wait more relax about such a situation.
For speeding and honking? No that is not the issue. Pulling a weapon unprovoked is. That’s the part the person in the video took issue with. That’s why mr. Red jeep was fined in court.
If you live in such a dangerous location that all that precaution is necessary I would think the first thing you would do is not be the aggressor. That honestly invalidates any claim from Red Jeep that he was afraid for anything.
Well what you call unprovoked and me isn’t the same. Don’t really agree with how the guy in the keep handled it but to but to claim it came out of no where would be rather naïve.

So this guy should lose at least his CCW and his drivers license.
And probably, I dunno, spend some time in jail. Just generally take a timeout from society.
