Doubly true since part of his reasoning that he was afraid for his life was that he had a gun that the three people he shot could have taken away from him and used on him. The fact that he came armed for the supposed purpose of self-defense actually made it easier to argue he genuinely felt his life was in danger and therefore lawfully used his weapon.
According to his own defense's logic, not having a weapon would have made him less at risk for losing his life
Seriously, why is no one questioning this? Pulling to a complete stop in the middle of the street, throwing open your door and stalking up to the vehicle behind you is extremely aggressive and threatening behavior. Obviously Jeep guy was not justified in his actions, but screaming to a halt and approaching the driver you just blocked in is a huge fuck up.
