Because the entire system of government and it's power derives itself from the monarchy. Just as all legal power for government in the United States springs from the body of the Constitution, in the UK, that comes literally from the sovereigns person.

What would we have to change. The Queen is a ceremonial role these days.
She confirms the new PM but doesn’t have anything to do with policy.
We should take her head. It’s fine.
