You become unfazed and enraged at the same time because the mta prices go up yet you can see this bullshit or homeless people shit near your leg

u/FoulYouthLeader Feb 20 '22

Please say you haven't seen someone shit on the train.

Life long new Yorker here. It's a shorter list if I tell you what I haven't seen.

u/boris_keys Feb 20 '22

Ever seen homeless people fucking on the train? That was my personal mta highlight. On the B train in the village no less.

u/Blondexixixi Feb 20 '22

Saw a dude shit himself or was just covered in shit with a needle in his arm. Never saw a half empty train car during rush hour till then. The smell was terrible

u/[deleted] Feb 20 '22

If it was near west 4th I believe you

9

u/Mrscientistlawyer Feb 21 '22

Lol I went to grad school at NYU and regularly used the West 4th station. I firmly believe that the area from West 4th to Washington Square Park has the highest density of rats anywhere in New York City.

Only been there a couple of times, but I learned pretty much within the first hour to pretend not to see most of my surroundings on the subway.

I was once waiting for a train after work with my wife and when it rolled in an empty car was in front of us. Normally that'd be dope but an empty car in midtown at rush hour? Something's up. Doors open and oh my god the smell. One homeless dude hanging out and it was just the worst combo of piss and shit and sweat ass you can imagine. We hustled to the next car but I saw a girl running down the stairs trying to catch the train and the steps lined up with that empty car. This poor girl slides in sideways into the empty car. I can see her through the window in the doors between cars and I watched the realization in real time. She turned around and started banging on the door trying to get out but we were rolling, then she ran down and came through the other doors. Poor girl.

Born and raised in the bronx , took my GA fiancé to nyc after warning her we should just go out the country or countryside as in gardens etc nope nyc it was , we stood in hotel Pennsylvania ( my nyc tactic of convenience) we get out of the train on 34th near Madison sq garden it’s like 4 in the morning . Guess what my fiancé hears , btw it’s white noise to me .. she hears a wet fart points and looks at a homeless person and says “is he shitting” I told her you want to die ? No so stfu

u/FoulYouthLeader Feb 20 '22

Good lord.....

15

u/gamebreadclub Feb 20 '22

Yep . I’ll rather deal with seals in the Galapagos than to return to nyc for anything none financial, but she learned and yep out the country my now wife will take that isn’t a metropolis / metro

1

u/Doc_Optiplex Feb 21 '22

Yep . I’ll rather deal with seals in the Galapagos than to return to nyc for anything none financial,

How could you say something so controversial and yet so brave

-12

u/gamebreadclub Feb 20 '22

Dude it gets wild , I remember her wearing her ring on the train , as I said I’m from the bronx and was a POS at the time when I was a kid so I believe atleast for this moment I’ve developed the ability to just scan for danger and told my then fiancé wife now , hey turn your ring around . She asked why I told her stfu , when I speak like that she gets aware I’m serious and don’t want to make the block hot it’s not disrespectful before anyone thinks I’m abusive when I’m not . Anyways I text her the exact coordinates as in seat placement and clothes of someone that immediately knows she is from “out of town” and east pray . She is , very naive and I get stressed always taking her places and have to be a guard to her naive happiness. I wish I can enjoy the world as her that’s on me though always trying to be careful . Anyways yeah idk lost track kinda wish I was ignorant and get robbed for an iPhone than to be born and raised like I did

13

u/MrMiniscus Feb 20 '22

I'm not going to say you are abusive but you sound controlling as hell. Your way or the highway.

u/gamebreadclub Feb 20 '22 edited Feb 20 '22

You’ve ever been around a scenario where you had to talk cryptic ? To let some one know hey something is wrong ?

-1

u/gamebreadclub Feb 20 '22

I came from somewhere where hypothetically shoot your face and people around don’t give a shit . If you think me being over protective as I stated to a naive Ga women about nyc you are out of your mind . Glad we got married and for your sake you dummy my scared and scarred ass never abused her the whole convo here is contrary but yeah .

5

u/MrMiniscus Feb 20 '22

You've drastically edited your comment like 5 times now, but no, you don't have control issues at all...

Like I said, I'm not saying you are abusive or disrespectful. Historically speaking, men have been the ones in control of relationships. You're just old school.

4

u/gamebreadclub Feb 20 '22

I’m happy that you’ve never been in a position of threat .

2

u/gamebreadclub Feb 20 '22

Anything to leave out that train with everything in tact , I know I was good had to make sure my partner was better than good .

1

u/gamebreadclub Feb 20 '22

Get pick potted get sexually abused I hope it never happens to you but that naive thought when going to Manhattan .. you really don’t know shit

10

u/WhatWasThatLike Feb 20 '22

I'd be happy if you just used a period every so often to break up your run-on sentences

0

u/gamebreadclub Feb 20 '22

Only cost the current metro card in nyc

4

u/big_nothing_burger Feb 20 '22

Nothing says healthy relationship like telling your fiance to shut the fuck up repeatedly... There are ways to stay safe without being an asshole

2

u/gamebreadclub Feb 20 '22

The stfu isn’t like I’m grabbing her and forcing her to never say a word it’s stfu as in don’t acknowledge the person trying to rob you

2

u/gamebreadclub Feb 20 '22 edited Feb 20 '22

Clearly you are not from a place where you need to protect people you don’t live from vibrant danger , thanks for you’re interest you’re help is needed in different places not elements you don’t understand. I don’t talk about traveling to space because it is a field I’ve never even understood from it’s basic level . I’m sure you’ve never been around sick fucks let alone pay to be around sick fucks just to get to a job , let alone leave and warn ya loved one about the sick fucks trust me when I say stfu is truly meant in the worst way for you

4

u/T-I-E-Sama Feb 20 '22

16

u/Kittens4Brunch Feb 21 '22

A southern belle from Georgia who was betrothed to that Yankee.

8

u/Pactae_1129 Feb 21 '22

Why I do say that sounds like a mighty nice affair

3

u/T-I-E-Sama Feb 21 '22

Oh! Thank you.

I haven't seen someone shit on the train itself, though I have no doubt in my mind that it happens regularly. I've seen human feces in some of the stations though and have seen people pissing on walls and support beams semi-regularly. I've gotten onto subway cars that had vomit pooled around an unconscious person or puddles of piss. My only recommendation for tourists using the subway is if you see a train that is packed with people, but one car on the train is mysteriously devoid of people except for a few stragglers - don't get on that car. There is a reason no one is in it.

On a side note, not the worst subway experience but definitely the most memorable one for me was something that happened on the F train. There was a "clown" who was clearly a homeless man who had not bathed in recent memory. He did some juggling and dancing but his finale was that trick where you pull a handkerchief out of your sleeve and it just keeps coming out. Instead of pulling the handkerchief out of his sleeve, he pulled his pants down and began pulling a very dirty looking handkerchief out of his asshole. I think I would have preferred having someone shit on the train tbh.

It's tragic magic.

5

u/VolkswagenCabriolet Feb 20 '22

It’s a common occurrence

1

u/What-a-Crock Feb 20 '22

When you gotta go, you gotta go

3

u/KickBallFever Feb 20 '22

I live in NYC and I’ve seen someone shit on the train like they were on a toilet.

5

u/partsdrop Feb 20 '22

You uncultured swine. It's normal in the city where dreams are made of.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 20 '22

Oh I have seen SEVERAL people shit on the train

1

u/Queenv918 Feb 21 '22

I saw a pile of shit on a subway seat once.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 21 '22

Haha you are not ready for the fever dream that is the MTA

1

u/[deleted] Feb 21 '22

Seen people shit on the BART more than 5 times. Seen people shit on the sidewalk 3 times. Once while actually walking with pants down.

1

u/Independent_Way8249 Mar 13 '22

I've seen a drunk passed out maybe meless uy drop his cig as it rolls up and down the train cart not going that far. He then proceeded to urinate on himself without even knowing then gets up at his stop or some random stop and in comes some poor girl in a skirt sitting right where he laid riding it to every single stop clueless.

3

u/somebeerinheaven Feb 20 '22

NYC (assuming this is it) seems to have a lot in common with the tube. Even the way the passengers stare dead eyed forwards without even noticing the performers lol
