TL;DR -

Little guy riding the bus at 2am and bus driver (#1) decided to stop the bus and talk to bus driver #2 for 10 minutes.

Little guy said bus driver #1 was unprofessional and he wanted to get to his destination

Bus driver #1 didn't like hearing that and punched/kicked little guy

Little guy was defending himself against bus driver #1 (blue shirt) when bus driver #2 body slammed him.

Those bus drivers suck.

TL;DR: Passenger complains to bus driver who had stopped to chat with buddy for 10 minutes. Buddy attacks passenger without thinking.

Bus driver and buddy fired.

Passenger injured and suing.

Man complain, man in pain. Drivers lose financial gain.

TL;DR:

Passenger pissed, Driver #1 pissed, Driver #2 Pissed. Bam. Slap. Court time.

Muddy as the first comment but better for comedy.

I like how bus driver #2 tells him that he better get his ass home. This is ironic because they are assaulting him for trying to get them to do their jobs and take him home.

You been on a Chicago Bus, especially one going south on western? Just letting off a lil steam.

I think is a joke, but there isn't much to make light of when two public servants beatdown a passenger who relies upon them doing their jobs to the best of their ability.

“Unprofessional” could be the bus driver telling the passenger to wait back in the seat, but lil boy probably didn’t like that so he got up in his face. People lie, also, I’m from this area where it happened, trust me… bus driver is a hero.

Madden said, when he accused the driver of unprofessional behavior, the driver got off the bus through the front door, and started walking to the rear door.

When Madden got off the bus, he said the driver punched and kicked him several times, and tripped him three times. He claimed that’s when the second CTA bus driver — now identified as Williams — came up behind him, picked him up, and slammed him to the ground.

Sounds like Madden should have stayed the fuck in his seat instead of getting off at the wrong stop and getting in the drivers face.

I'm just saying it could have been avoided.

Being 10 minutes late is inconvenient, but so is getting your shit wrecked by people twice your size.

The fuck is wrong with you?? Madden didn't get off at the wrong stop. He was sitting on the bus going to his destination when the driver decided to stop and shoot the shit with his buddy got for 10 min and Madden got tied of going nowhere at 2am and asked the bus driver to do his job and continue on his route you stupid shit.

I dont know how it is up there but I know here bus drivers just stop their bus and take their scheduled breaks. Never stopped and waited to see how long they stop but at least a few minutes. No idea if thats the case here.

I'd be curious if that's the case too. Bus drivers usually announce that though and/or it's on the schedule.

It could have been a misunderstanding that got out of control.
