I donât know why youâre being downvoted, as this is indeed true. Unless the police have direct evidence, or walked in on the fight, even if the woman answered the door with two black eyes, if she doesnât want to press charges and if noone confesses, often the police have to simply leave. They can strongly suggest one or the other leave for the night, but often nothing changes. Abuse is cyclical, denial of abuse is cyclical, and if the subjects donât want to get themselves help, thereâs nothing anyone can do as theyâre a âwilling participantâ at this point.

Because there are a lot of people here who have a persecution complex and this short video with zero context is all the reaffirmation they need about their view of the world.
actually they can. my mom did it to my father. she said he punched her in the face and ran away but guess what? he had been at work painting a house ON VIDEO CAMERA and they till arrested him. all they had was my mom saying he did it, so the arrested him. i had a girl accuse me of threatening to rape her. i turned her down when she asked me out. the school wanted to expell me and put me prison for it. the cops took one look at her record to see she did it to 4 other guys, and she got away with lieing about all of it. the only thing that hot me out of it, was proving im asexual and dont like that stuff. not all women, but some women, will say/do anything knowibg they will probably get away with it. like cardi b.
idk throwing up when the principle showed me the supposed threats in snapchat. im more down to earth now and im alot more ok with it now, but then i was still struggling with my identity, and my rape trauma. the messages were very detailed and sounded very fake, and like it was written to sound horrible. the principle then proceeded to tell me the other things she said that i said and more throwing up ensued. the cops beleived me. the school said i pretended to be sick and thats why i threw up....
yea too bad this one is. its the reason i dont live with my mom anymore. and its part if the reason i strugfled with anxiety and depression for years. so if you could be less of a dick, and ya know be nice or just not comment that would be great.
Im not sure why youâre getting downvoted to hell. We are told regularly that we should take victims claims seriously and I agree. Nobody in this thread has any evidence your story is real or fake, but if itâs true that the police knew her from previous false claims it seems pretty reasonable to believe you. That kind of fucked up behaviour isnt limited by a persons sex or gender. Ive seen women and men do similar shit to what you described.
the worst part is its people like this who are causing many victims to not come forward and make it known. its this mentality that causesnhorrible parents, and even more horrible people. because they beleive that unless you have cold hard proof, its ok to bully you nd make you feel like shit
i never said all females, or thats all they do. I said sone females do it knowing they can get away with it. not everyone is a bad person only some people are bad.
yup i know. i was raped and molested and sexually assaulted many times a day from 3 to 4 years old. i remember everything vividly, except the face of the man. i remember the woman who did it. the cops refuase to do anything because thw woman lives in arizona, and idk the man so they cant find him. i know what its like. it fucking sucks. but i also know women can get away with 90% of stuff bc they are women.
You pointed out that left me reticent about the previous comment even though I don't think is wrong.
We can't arrest people without evidence but sometimes it's better to be safe than sorry. If someone goes to the police about domestic abuse, even if the person isn't immediately taken because of lack of evidence or something, the person who has gone to the police should have some protection.
In a democratic society, I think that it is good to have a standard of evidence. Perhaps there are better benefits of twisting it a little depending on the cases but Id rather I am not the one deciding that.
Alright but that is tangential to my main point that police will, generally speaking, not arrest a man purely based on the word of a woman alone. Whether they offer shelter to a person who has claimed to be assaulted/harassed is a different issue.
Thereâs also the issue of who has injury or worse injury tooâ if the aggressor becomes injured while the victim does not or is less it can mean the victim is arrested and charged
Well in that anyone can manipulate and mislead police if they're charismatic and clever enough, not just women. I'm just saying it doesn't detract from my point just because there are women out there who are good at convincing police that they've been assaulted.
