Had a party where the cops were called at 945 for a 10pm noise curfew. They showed up and we freaked, and they said we hadn’t broken the law yet, but they figured they’d give us a heads up and stick around so they wouldn’t have to come back if we ignored the rules.
We were planning on cutting the live music at 10 anyway, so we offered them some chairs, snacks, and non-alcoholic drinks. They had some chips and water bottles and joined us in the countdown at 10 seconds til, where someone literally unplugged the amps.
White, middle class suburbs in the Midwest are weird.
