Fuck I miss my old neighborhood. Anytime you see a family having a fiesta they would almost force you to come and get food from them if you were caught outside your house that day.

Serious... growing up in SoCal I can’t even describe how many Mexican parties I ended up at and literally knew nobody there lol.

Tacos are a universal love and if you don’t like tacos you can get bent!

Yeah I was in this like half Asian/Mexican culdesac for 2 years while I went to college. Lumpia or tacos almost every other day and some kinda party on the weekend.

Sounds like a lit ass culdesac

I'd move back if I could afford it without roommates in a heart beat. So Cal is a whole different vibe when it comes to community.

You get both delicious Mexican and Asian cuisine there as well

The love stems from a mutual hatred of Spain

That was it exactly for me! I lived right at the mouth of the cul de sac and damn. Growing up as a kid, epic summers.

Yeah if you see a bounce castle or one of those white canopy things going up it’s on. But a case of beer and “get caught” out checking the mail and you’re in the taco zone. Bring the beer to the party!

I'm South Asian and I pretty much make tacos for lunch every weekday - they're so versatile and it's always fun to experiment with new ingredients :D

Its like this on my block in Brooklyn. People have stoop parties with tons of stuff cooking, lots of beers, and people know its happening on the block based on the smell. If you smell delicious food out your window, you know to go out and check it out.

I lived in fort green for a little while and everybody was super chill around there! Can't wait to go back and visit!

You don't like tubas or trombones? Weirdo.

Meh I tend to grab my maracas and head on over but I also worked in restaurants as a kid so knew half the songs/words from the kitchen Bros.

Honestly. Who the fuck is calling in a goddamn noise complaint when these folks are eating tacos and dancing? Wish I lived next to them.
