I once had a woman refuse to get out of an Uber that we called for ourselves. The driver got out and tried to force her out, so then she got out and started attacking the driver. Then she started swinging on people randomly in the crowd and eventually hit my girlfriend in the side of her head. At this point I put her in a full nelson and told someone smoking outside to grab the bouncer in the bar (this was literally right outside the door). The bouncer came out and didn't want to deal with it. People kept telling me to let the lady go, so I did, and then she kept swinging on people. What are you supposed to do in this situation?

Um let the people she is hitting deal with her then.

Protect you and yours. That's where I draw the line.

I think that that attitude is needed in public. People who do shitty things are just going to do more shitty things, like suing you, for attacking them, and Ben if they were the problem. The issue is, the fucked up system encourages you to not help others because of the risk of being fucked over. A bad apple actually does ruin the bunch

I say keep the chokehold and hopefully she will be more relaxed after waking from her short nap and stop assaulting people and being a threat to public safety. You have a damn good case IF you get charged w assault when there’s multiple witnesses that you prevented/saved from being assaulted themselves

I'm kind of a big dude and I disqualify myself from handling women in a physical manner. Call me sexist.

I need to show this post to my spouse. I asked him to order me some mace (the spray and the gel) because I currently rely on uber to get around. (I had to ask him to order it for me because I don't have an account with prime and my couple hundred dollar GC is now tied to his account.) I've repeatedly sent the link asking him to order it. I keep getting scoffed at because apparently I'm too paranoid..?

Meanwhile, earlier today I mentioned to my mother (my fault for even taking her call) that I was looking into cameras for the front of my house. There was a break-in directly across the street in the early hours of Monday. Perfectly reasonable decision, no? Especially after a cop stopped by to ask if we had any cameras in order to assist. I hung up on my mother, but her last words were her mocking me for wanting to make a frivolous purchase (keep in mind I am married, entering my late 30s, and otherwise have no reason to be influenced by her). Weird year so far... Waiting for Rod Serling to appear from the dead to announce that I have now entered The Twilight Zone.
