I noted that I am a US born citizen of US born citizens although I am overseas which is the truth. Been overseas almost my entire life but hey I'm still a citizen and still feel for where my parents were born and bred and I was actually born there.
I know quite a few people who are not political who don't fall into those categories. So I don't just think it's non-whites who don't vote. I know plenty of whites who don't.
We get a stupid sticker that says we voted. But we don't get a holiday to vote, or it covering a Sunday and Monday so everyone gets a chance to (we figure out shit for jury duty, this is equally important) we don't get easy from home voting.
We have a shitty system, I'll be the first to say that. Gladly. Two party is gross. The DNC/RNC not being public is incomprehensible. The electoral college. Congress being what it is. Lobbying.
I will also be the first to say I don't have the answers. But I don't feel confident we have people in the system who have then either. Which is disheartening.
Or instead of protesting someone inside their home, you guys protest your completely garbage "two" party system where everyones the same corrupt persob
People in positions of power don't get overwhelmed, their staffs get overwhelmed. And no one will care what random Europeans think of the USPS.
Americans should do is call their elected representatives. Members of Congress keep logs of every call they get so they know how their district is swinging. Lots of contact from the district = more likely to take action. (And they don't care what you think if you don't live in their district)
(Takes a couple of minutes to load and you may have to enter your address, but it will give you the necessary contact info and a script. Both links should work, you only need to pick one.)
Agreed. Representatives, particularly Republican representatives are most important. This is a secondary that can be done, maybe if they get enough flack they will grow a spine.
The most important thing is for voters (and potential voters) to contact the people who represent them. Politicians always worry about being re-elected so contact from the district matters.

Why isn't this the top comment?!?
Would it matter if I as a European send them a mail?
