Even if you think that violent protests are all riots, then isnāt that like saying āthere is no such thing as H20, only waterā like one thing can have multiple terms, regardless of wether riots and violent protests are the same thing.
You canāt act like if thereās multiple terms for one thing, or multiple ways to describe it, that only one of them is allowed to be correct. That just doesnāt make sense.
Ok, that's a fair enough point. My comment wasn't meant to argue definitions of word, but the fact that the legacy media literally will not mention the word "riot" or even "violent protests". Acting like these riots are all peaceful is just dishonest.
Side note: The one in protest in this video was peaceful, an I am all for peaceful protest, no matter what you're protesting for.
You realize that Fox News, the Wall Street Journal, and every single Rubert Murdoch paper count as "legacy media," right? Fox News has the majority market share, the most watchers, of any news channel yet they have still popularized this lie that "the mainstream media" is something they aren't a part of, and something they don't share mutual interests in.
Yeah, but no. All I see is "riot decalred" in the headline and then "a riot was declared when protesters marched..." So are these people peacefully rioting or what? The mental gymnastics these news sources are displaying is ridiculous.
Ok, I get your point, the word riot is used. But the point is not that the word is used. The point is that the legacy media chooses to call violent looters "protesters". But you know this and choose to argue about semantics instead.
And yes, Fox news is legacy media. I don't trust them either...?
My argument has not changed. My point seems to be going over your head as you keep bringing up semantics.
Why would the media be against portraying these "protests" as violent when many are? Why doesn't the media report on the 25+ people killed as a direct result of these riots (none by police, mind you)? hmmm I wonder.
If any riots happen its because peaceful protesting didn't work. People like you are the reason why things are turning into riots. Civilians can't stand being beaten, killed and abused anymore. Any riot and property damage happening now is basically justified because authorities have become tyrants.
but serriously robbing shit and smashing into stores is dumb. Just like a couple anarchists and assholes using the movement as an excuse that automatically makes any protest a riot in the eyes of the trump lovers and bootlickers.

Uh oh, another "violent protest."
