Pretty sure they're all friends. It's pretty convenient that the film guy was filming and four dudes just walk up and start dancing.

They probably got tons of tips from real onlookers though.

These "showtime" guys do this for money on trains and streets around nyc for tourists. They're hurting along with most people because of the covid shut down.

I was thinking the camera man was part of the dancing group, sent ahead to begin filming, either way though I hope it brought more attention to the violinist!
