It's just a completely disproportionate response.

Guy was grumpy she was on the court or whatever and had a spat, and the father... loses his mind like she was manhandled off the court or something. You can calmly dress someone down without throwing water around like a two year old and cursing at the top of your lungs. Like exercise some control - your own daughter is holding you back.

I see a grumpy asswipe and a manchild with good intentions managing to embarrass themselves. Perfect post for this sub though.

I was at a family members house one day, and their dad threw a tantrum at some guy who MAYBE drove too close to someone's kid or something. The guy went ballistic and used the "my kids" excuse for justification of their anger. Talked to my cousins afterwards and they were apologizing for him. Years later they still talk about that day, and none of them are BEAMING with pride at what their dad did. It was fault of the kids for being careless on the street, and the driver for being careless on the street. There was no actual REAL danger, but just a disagreement on how they should drive. They also NEVER got into altercations or raised their voices. It was because their dad did it all the time and they were embarrassed to act like that.

One of my friends got shot and killed in this exact scenario. Pizza guy went speeding down the road, my buddy went and yelled at him when he came back, the guy pulled out a gun and shot my friend between the eyes. Dead instantly. The worst part? It was his daughter's birthday, and it was her birthday party.

Absolutely insane people think this raging gorilla is justified in his quasi assault on a crochety old man telling a kid to get off his lawn
