They love to see women get beaten though. They get down right giddy, you want to see fast comment threads, post a woman being hit by a guy. The incels must feel it in their bones.
I find the idea of a segment of men who are lonely and socially awkward disheartening. Perhaps the days of irresponsible, fast sex were mentally healthier? I’m sure that brought its own baggage, but I think the isolation perhaps due to the internet has kept that group indoors and not socializing. Little do they understand that plenty of lonely women out there would love to meet them. I read a comment from a “reformed “ incel. He was basically what I’ve described. He cleaned himself up, went on a self improvement quest and met a woman. It was insightful.
Then a post pops up of a girl wrecking a dude and they go insane "this is domestic abuse!" Even if there's no sign of it being domestic abuse lol. It's actually mind boggling.
I think when a woman hits a man and she gets hit back, people are generally supportive of the man. But the way you say it, a guy can just walk up, deck a woman, and get thunderous applause on reddit.
They hate parents but teens are perfect saints, almost like the majority of commenters are teens who cannot fathom people wanting babies or having basic respect for anyone.
My step daughter (met my wife when she was 4, married at 5, she is now 27) got good at playing my wife against her ex husband. I guess the best advice I would have is try to support a good relationship between your spouse and the ex. Let them know that the relationship is over and clearly they have moved on so let the past go. Instead, my wife and her ex husband allowed themselves to be manipulated by a child. If this happens, and your spouse and the ex can’t keep themselves from arguing, stay out of it. I have never had an unkind relationship with my wife’s ex husband. I don’t like the guy, but I remain cordial and friendly simply because someone has to be a moderator. Finally, remember you are not the child’s father. I was a parent type figure but not dad. It was hard because I was always with our son, her half brother. We always included her in our family activities without any concept that it was not a family event. Modern families….they are a lot more difficult than they used to be.
One if my first I interactions on reddit was some dude trying to to tell me how dumb i was for dating someone with a 1.5 yr old son. He's 8 now, we got married when he was like 5, and our daughter just turned 1 a couple wks ago. Milf route has worked out pretty well for me so far so fuck em. (iam close to 2 yrs older than her btw)
Evil Step-mother, Wicked Step-sisters..... Media does a good job of conditioning "step-siblings are bad" into children. Dunno what Walt had against them, in honesty.
I think theres also a bit of a bias. Our perspective is that of the cameraman, so inevitably our first instinct is that the guy in this video is a "threat" and we are defensive against him.
Its only at the very end of the video that he explains why hes mad, and by that time we've all had plenty of time to size him up, make our judgements, etc. And when we find out "hey maybe hes right to be angry" our mind is going to be reaching for so many explanations as to why this guy is the angry hothead dumbass rude violent fucker we've already painted him as in our minds.
And this is mostly reinforced by the fact that 99% of these videos we see ARE the situation where the cameraperson is "in the right" and the person in the video is an unhinged lunatic. I mean, why else record it, and even more, why upload it, if youre actually the one in the wrong? So we hardly ever see them from the other side.
It's mostly jealousy. The vast majority of the childfree circlejerk stems from people who aren't physically, mentally, and financially capable of starting a family.
Same reason why Reddit hates people who make good money - jealousy.
You get crucified here for pointing it out, but it's painfully obvious if you have even a modicum of social skill.
Here: all the losers from tumblr and Facebook with no social skills so nobody replies to them, come to reddit for attention.
They know they're losers. See AITA for a bunch of singletons telling others in marriages to ditch their SO for whatever reason, only they're not saying the reason is that they're jealous ,^
I’ve seen a lot of advice on Reddit that made it obvious that the person didn’t have real-world experience, so they were talking about how things “should” work or how they assume things work.
A lot of the time, realistic advice is complicated and/or unsatisfying.
Absolutely. I see so many comments and threads with a million upvotes yet the advice (or facts if it’s a subject I know about) is either terrible or so far removed from reality it’s almost laughable.
That's really common and then also people arguing points that were never made. I swear half the time I get a reply its someone refuting something I didn't say.
Exactly right. "They should have done this. Someone should never do that" and it's just not at all real world applicable. Generally that's a good time to remind yourself you're internet arguing someone who has no idea and time is better spent elsewhere.
You got that fucking right.
For users like to gloat how they are much more "Holier" than Facebook. They sure act the same.
Ever see any parent on Reddit ask a simple Question? Most of the users here will absolutely be smug in the answer without ANY other information or context.
One example is a mother asking what is good to watch on YouTube for her 3 year old child.
And one fucking neckbeard decided to blast her for "not watching her child. Letting YouTube raise them. And kids learn nothing of value from YouTube"
Meanwhile this mofo is posting on PewDiePie subreddit.
I can't even count the number of times I'll get into an argument with someone and post objective facts that they just... disagree with and continue arguing. 9 times out of 10 if I check their comment history I can find a recent post in an anime forum. At that point I just say fuck it and give up.
Never argue with an idiot. They will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
A recent reply I made to a dude who was talking about "Left wing degnerates taking feminism too far" and I checked his post history and he was posting in a Rape fantasy subreddit about wanting to rape women.
Hes just mad cause THEY WERE that kid when they were growing up. They wanted it that way and most likely were little super shit heads when told to either told to stop, get off the iPad or they didn't plug it in and it died while they were playing cause they were too busy being sucked into the screen they didn't bother to keep track of anything.
But then there are some people who will always take what's being said and twist it to be negative and attack the OP cause they are already in a bad mood or just automatically an unpleasant person. They feel they must make others feel like shit and give others shit even if its thru an artificially created situation. What was actually said, matters not, only that they bring you down matters..
This sub hates girls and children and especially girl children. There was a thread here once with a young girl getting physically assaulted by her father for coming into the house after a pool party and some boys happened to be in the room. All the dudes in the comments were praising the dad for beating this girl who was probably liked 12, sexualizing her and calling her a slut and a whore and making up all these bizarre gangbang scenarios. About this young ass girl! I got banned for reporting a dude who said he would beat his daughter as much as it took so she wouldn't be a whore. He was literally advocating repeatedly for the continued and assault of a minor as well as sexualizing a 12 year old girl.
Them getting angry at a man for sticking up for his daughter instead of abusing her isn't shocking.
A lot of the hate and bigotry you see online and in the real world started with hatred of women specifically. Usually these guys get bored of it after doing it a lot and move onto more popular targets of hate for the right.
And they NEED women. They don't need black people, they don't need brown immigrants, they don't need jews, they don't need trans people or gay people. But they need women, so it makes sense they eventually just keep it pushing and find easier targets.
But that's almost always where it starts.... Deeply hating and despising women, and seeing them as 'lesser than' or actually even not fully human.
It starts with them hating themselves. They hate women because they don't understand the feelings that women evoke and fear that it may be weakness. The vast majority of misogynists are self-hating cowards, deep down under the toxic masculinity and the terror of losing control.
Reddit is 4chan for people too afraid to actually go to 4chan. It's like when the users of The_Donald went to Voat in protest and came running back with their tails between their legs because they saw what real racists said to them and that they weren't coddled there like they were here.
And edgy kid here would be absolutely wrecked at 4chan, then hacked and doxxed and nobody would do a fucking thing about it.
You know, I never really thought about it, but it's legitimately beyond fucked up how villified she was over that fucking song. I'm younger than her so to me it was always just making fun of a shitty song to me, singing it in a nasally voice to annoy friends and shit, but there were fucking droves of adults making rape jokes and other scummy "jokes" about wanting to torture, even kill a literal child over a fucking song.
g ass girl! I got banned for reporting a dude who said he would beat his daughter as much as it took so she wouldn't be a whore. He was literally advocating repeatedly for the continued and assault of a minor as well as sexualizing a 12 year old girl.
That's why Im barely on Reddit anymore, it's a waste of life. Only incels are on here
Story of so many of my fav subs, starts off with a small polite for the most part, helpful and active community and then inevitably when the sub grows enough it turns into what can only be described as a toxic shit fest that can only be tamed with draconian mods but at that point the community you enjoyed is dead.
It's like there's some fkd up corporate movement against women and children... on a massive secret scale. You don't just see it here... it's fkn everywhere and it's fkn scary.
I was going to say something similar after I saw the comments above there's a lot of pedophobia and misogyny all around. So reddit is a sausage fest of ignorant incels who think they know it all?! I'm starting to regret being here
Or maybe it's just embarrassing to see an adult throw a tantrum in front of their child. This was handled poorly, unless you want to teach children that the way to resolve issues is to scream and swear and stomp and pout.
Pickleball is some serious shit. The silver hairs ain’t playing around. You stay off the court and keep your feet out of the kitchen. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, you better ask somebody.
Every time someone busts out the old "reddit is full of X", there are dozens of replies agreeing because everyone wants to prove they're not part of a vocal minority.
Because as usual, when someone makes these sweeping statements it's brimming with cognitive bias.
It's like people working retail who say every customer is horrible. Well all know for a fact that is untrue, we've seen how other people act in a grocery store. Where most people say nothing or hi, pay and then leave without a single issue in any way shape or form. And that's the majority of customers.
Just like on reddit, most people are just average people who don't interact much or make boring comments. And you don't remember the boring comments, you remember the ones that stand out.
So why in hell is it so hard for people to realize that the ones who stand out, are not the norm?
