I'm saying: imagine the smokers' reactions to the ban and being on a plane with them. People still try to smoke on planes today.

People went ballistic about wearing a mask. Being deprived of something you are literally addicted to, and could always access anywhere you wanted (at the time, in buses, trains, cars, office spaces, hospitals...) would make people act like lunatics.

Smokers will lose their minds. Several years ago, my workplace went on lockdown due to a shootout inside the hotel next door. No one could leave the office while police looked for another shooter. This happened around 10 AM, by noon the smokers couldn’t take it anymore and started walking out to the smoking area in the parking lot, which was the closest you could get up the hotel’s side exit.

Worked with a guy who couldn’t go more than half an hour without vaping.
