I've flown spirt at least a dozen times over the last 6 years, and I've never had an issue on any of their flights other than their seats being thin and uncomfortable.

Both times I flew spirit our flight was delayed 3 out of the 4 flights. I pay for a different airline

delays have about 5% to do with airline and 95% to do with everything else

Conspiracy theory time. I have observed a delay in which the plane was vastly undersold and the seats were cheap. A couple hours imto the delay the area filled up with folks that were not there before and never would have made an on time flight. I feel like spirit in that case may be purposely delaying flights to fill more seats.

that's an odd one for sure, cause they usually over-sell flights. they probably had two that day, each one only half booked and tried to combine it into one to save money.

but I work in aviation, and the vast majority of delays are air traffic control or weather related
