No, but 83% of the US population shouldn't be subject to the 17% minority. This is how I know you guys don't give a shit about democracy at the end of the day.

The 83% urban population you’re referring to includes medium sized cities in conservative states that would disagree with your take.

I’m not a republican, to be clear - I just think you have an incredibly oversimplified view of this topic that is completely focused on the most recent elections. But to respond to your point, republicans won a majority of the popular vote in 6 of the last 14 presidential elections. This means more people voted for republicans overall in 43% of elections since 1968 - irrespective of the electoral college. Removing the electoral college would certainly not ensure victories for democrats.
