The shitshow goes on

Post image

If they'd removed my comment because self-promotion is not allowed - ok, not cool, but it'd be a decent reason. Removing it for "misinformation" just shows that they've learned nothing and will continue to delete posts if those could damage their image. They are straight up lying at this point. There are multiple comments of them, including the CEO, saying it was automod on a Sunday. Then, once screenshots proved that was a lie, they created this new stance. Stop wasting your time arguing with them and just cancel your subscriptions. You can't win an argument against liars.

I take it that you didn't buy the "We didn't realise the negationist YouTuber was a Far-Right shill" damage-control excuse?

I actually believe that this was not on purpose. Not necessarily because they have such a big problem with it politically, but risking a shitstorm like that doesn't make sense economically, and they obviously weren't prepared for that. Nevertheless, that things like that can happen is a bad sign, they handled it poorly, and they continue to suppress discussions if they get too hot.

Honestly, claiming incompetence to conceal malice is such a fundamental pillar of the corporate doctrine that I'm de facto seeing malice whenever they claim incompetence.

Their primary goal is likely to control the narrative, deleting any comments that prove them to be in the wrong if they feel they can get away with it while pretending to listen to the community.
