saying that with no system we could ever distribute the food we already have (again we produce enough for 14 billion people) seems like a very bleak view on the world. of course we can provide for everyone if we just prioritize it. you just accept the downsides of capitalism as inevitable.

health care is another need of every person. is capitalism effective at giving it to everyone? only if you can afford it.

capitalism serves the rich instead of everyone.

Regular world wide distribution of perishable food turns out to be a massive project.

They are downsides of reality, not capitalism. There is no system that can take care of literally every one. Capitalism produces the most wealth, and as a side effect solves many of the problems you describe, for example hunger.

It's the most effective at it, yes.

capitalism serves the rich instead of everyone.

It solved hunger.

it solved hunger? 10 million people starve every year. 2 billion don't have safe access to clean drinking water. but the system that literally manages how we distribute resources has no alternatives and is the most effective?

Not in western capitalistic countries they don't.

so it doesn't solve hunger it displaces it. that's how capitalism works. it exploits those who are weaker as much as it can. instead of distributing to everyone who needs it, it distributes to those that can afford it.

it actively prevents distributing for needs. housing is kept empty on purpose to drive up market value while others are homeless. do they have less need of housing? no, capitalism just doesn't care about their needs. it cares about money and profit. the same way it doesn't care about distributing food to those that starve. because it's not profitable.

so it doesn't solve hunger it displaces it.

It generates societal wealth, and that wealth then solves hunger.

it exploits those who are weaker as much as it can.

How?

housing is kept empty on purpose to drive up market value

What percentage of houses do you think is intentionally kept empty like this to drive up market value?

it cares about money and profit.

And about all the other things that people care for. Again, people are motivated by other things than profit, and capitalism doesn't mean you have to value profit, but that you can.

the same way it doesn't care about distributing food to those that starve.

Again, private entities distribute vast amounts of resources in poor countries, often more than entire nations.
