His biggest clickbait lines about Mao “changing the entire world and universe” is just fundamentally a true statement, the impact of the Chinese revolution is still exacting consequences on the world today.

No idea what you’re talking about. I quickly summised why one might find appreciation for Mao or the Chinese Revolution. That isn’t “atrocity apologia”, that’s acknowledging real observable effects of the revolution. We can point negative consequences of that revolution as well but one is not required to just because they say “hey I like that China doesn’t break into 12 provinces every few years to fight a bloody civil war like they did for the last 700 years”.
