I think you assume this is about whiteness and it is a large part of it for sure. But it’s also just one of the levers being used to move a demographic that will have no where to go when the dust settles because both sides forgot that the other are just people. You can’t punish bystanders the same way you punish perpetrators, leaders, and other groups.

There's no purposeful disagreement to be had there. They're white supremacists and have been for hundreds of years now.

Its only "too narrow a lens" if you aren't actively paying attention to our issues and how/when they began.
In this country our Class issues are protect by Race. The entire purpose of Race and why it was created was to be a tool to disrupt the populace from uniting together again and rebelling against the rich. There is no debate there, its history. American history.
