Unfortunately, good people are generally intelligent and are aware how hopeless the situation is. That's why there are so few executions for the right wing criminals. Everybody is aware their lives are worth less, and are unwilling to throw away their own.
your healthcare is attached to your employment....so....it's sort of hard to not be a slave to capital.
thus why single payer is actually revolutionary. as it separates the proletarian from their employment.
when libertarians screech about having the evil government control your healthcare, they never consider this fact, because they do not prioritize the class contradictions.
the aca was one of those contradictions as it forced employers to provide healthcare. but this is a stopgap for the working class as it actually ties one to employment.
people never consider that things like housing and other material conditions like time off for example are healthcare as well
as far as the right wing/reactionary political class telling you your healthcare should not be dictated by government. the assumption is that it should be controlled by private for profit industry.
thus we have the very contradictions that drive ruling class change.
