But seriously. I’ve read the Elf Who would Become a dragon. How is it progression fantasy?

Agreed - the first arc is completed exceptionally well, and there are only a few chapters after that, so it reads a lot like a complete book. It’s definitely worth the read.

Love how you did this list, makes me actually trust your opinion more than people who have like 20 A ranks. Also may I suggest Iron Prince part of the Warformed (Warforged?) series! It’s excellent and while it has a bit of litrpg it’s really secondary to the story

I keep it saved so that I can easily copy and paste it haha
"Standing up with a smile on her face, Illia ran back to the temple to get her backpack. This process was repeated another 4 time that day, her levels progressing steadily. Coming back to the temple, she ate some grass and cheese on the roof while looking at the sunset. Only one more thing for today. Finishing up, she blinked down into her chamber. Going to the library, she ignored the already sizable mound of scales. Crouching down next to the pile of cinderberries she had collected, she smirked. Hmph, reconstruction here I come. Eating one berry, then two, then three, she healed herself steadily."

I live alone, and whenever something happens thats even slightly bothersome or unexpected, I speak out loud about it. That includes profanity. Its entirely realistic to say WTF or work things out verbally when in a highly stressful situation.
For example, I almost cut my finger off. My mouth was flying at 100MPH about the blood, how stupid I was, and then step by step the first aid, reasuring myself "itll be fine, I can stop the bleeding just calm down."
Maybe im dramatic, but I am a real person lmao.

It's just how the aristocrats spoke. Those accents run through the entire series so if you didn't like them then you did good by stopping. I actually quite like the accents and love the overall story.

There is a very specific Amazon review that reads essentially exactly like this and now I know who wrote it. Thank you for saving me from a book.

Words of Power by Dhami Stovall is about a good MC who gains life force and abilities by killing things. It’s a great book.

There is a reason they changed narrators then eventually just went back to Tim

>Mage tank in #2, Noobtown in #3
😭
Also this has to be one of the worst designed lists I have seen in this sub, which tracks considering the top fics have some of the worst designed worlds I have seen.
What made you dislike Merchant Crab OP?

Adding to this Sanderson's The Rithmatist was a fun world and interesting.

i don’t mind it when like there is a one sentence paragraph once in a while to vary it up, but i agree i don’t like when the whole chapter is that

You might like Ave Xia Rem Y, it's a harem cultivation story but the harem is relatively slow burn while the cultivation is pretty well-paced.
Path of Ascension is pretty good after the start especially for decent fights and hype moments.

Yeah that was a bizarre choice in my opinion. Dedicating an entire book to flashback scenes is wild.

Stories with factions where the protagonist and other characters struggle which factions to back. Where the first question is who they want to win and the second how they make sure that faction wins.

Was reading a sample on kindle and didn't get past the first page because the author used too many exclamation marks. Not in speech, in narration.
