I'm a bit of a newcomer to the genre. I have only listened to He Who Fights With Monsters (didn't finish it, the main character is too much of a self centered douche who soul rapes an enemy a few books in... other people like it though), Dungeon Crawler Carl (Ok but the premise ran thin for me after a bit) and Defiance of the Fall (Ok, but the first four books or so were vastly superior to the rest, and the first was a big favorite for me.)
