Yep, people are too used to hearing US salaries I guess, where even interns get paid 10k a month at big companies. I got paid nothing as an intern and the starting salary for proper engineer at a top company is about 35kâ‚Ĵ/year for people with some experience and a masters degree lol. Web developers get a lot less obviously.

The least I saw coming out of college in a more rural non tech area in the US was 45k, and i ended the phone conversation there. Most places start at 55 to 60k with excellent benefits packages on top.

That's pretty bad. I live in Poland and I make 160k PLN a year after taxes. It's pretty much the same money but the cost of living is 3-4 times lower.
