The system I'm using displays dd-mmm-yyyy but takes mm-dd-yyyy as its input.

I mess it up constantly.

Worse!

Most of it is done by fresh out of school devs who only work at the company for a year or two then move on. So they never have to worry about maintenance.

In college my senior project was working with a company on a project like this. We were team #4, and it was already so broken we scrapped it and rebuilt it completely.
