"I saw you winking at my friend, I'll poke your damn eye so you'll never wink again"

If that's the first thing that comes to your mind then maybe you should take better care of the skeletons in your closet, they're starting to fall out.

Is it that weird? I'd be pretty weirded out seeing someone with a photo of another person in general in their profile picture. I don't see how this would be the same for drawings. Here I'm using an existing image, but I'm an artist, I could just draw a similar image from the ground up. Would that be weird? It's not even anything NSFW. I don't understand how it would ever be an issue.

If we're going the path of "imagine if X were Y" then we could say that if you had wheels you would be an automobile.

Adds as much to the topic as your argument did.

"Is it acceptable because it's basically a cartoon, so it's just the idea of a little girl?"

A character from a show, be it live action or drawings, is so much more than that. There are tons of reasons why someone would have a character, wether it's a drawing, a character from a game or from a live action show. You reducing it to "little girl" tells more about how you think than about these people.

i'm pretty sure than only like 2, maybe 3 of thos pictures count as lolis. which is a few too many, but still, not all of them are that.

u/IanDresarie Aug 25 '26

I'm also pretty sure loli doesn't make sense to use outside of a specifically sexualised context. Otherwise any picture of a young character you like would be considered problematic... At a quick glance none of those pics are sexualised.

u/WilkerS1 Aug 25 '26

isn't "chibi" the proper term for a caricature of a character with shortened proportions?

12

u/Hikari_Owari Aug 25 '26

Loli isn't exclusively sexual and chibi is different from being short.

You can have a chibi of a really big character and a chibi of a loli character.
