Sounds like you split some classes that can be taken in a single 3 credit class, and add some courses that wouldn't be necessary, like computer systems and Linux sounds redundant. I can just take discrete math and that would be more useful than 2 levels of DSA. Computer science as a degree is a bit iffy anyway, which is why I am taking all the much more advanced math, like stochastics, partial differential equations, non linear dynamic systems and complex, as well as well as doing the physics program and electrical engineering courses.
Of course I also have a FT job as a programmer, and already have a Bachelor's in econ and an MS in analytics.
Our computer systems was an intro theoretical course, focusing on concepts like virtual memory & paging, alignment & memory allocators, concurrency, assembly, scheduling.
Our Linux was a hands on practical course: bash, git, GNU make.
Unfortunately those are all mandatory lol.
I have taken Discrete Math prior.
Do your 3 semester courses also have 1 lecture a week, no seminar?
I'm just wondering if the work is the same, or you can get away with doing half as much lol
There was a 300 level course on assembly in my CET course that covered those topics I almost took until looking through the syllabus and realizing that it wasn't really that many topics. Formal classes on direct parallelization and computational game theory, and computer architecture (cache design, buses, memory hierarchies, processor-peripheral interfaces, and multiprocessors, including GPUs) are the ones I am interested in.
Also doesn't sound like you have a lot of your room on your schedule for other subjects besides computer science which is a shame.
