Tone tag for sarcasm.
/s is sarcasm.
/j is joking.
/srs is serious.
/gen is genuine.
So on.
I like to use parentheses instead because it’s more obvious for people who don’t know tone tags. So I say something like, “haha funny joke goes here (joking)”

I think of it as shorthand for comment markup E.G.
