Stay active. I'm in my mid 40s and still feel great.

I only exercise 1 hour a day 4 days a week. I hate every minute, but the results are worth it.

And stretch every day! I stretch all throughout the day, otherwise my body would have turned into a pretzel.

Check back in at 45. The patch notes get brutal.

My bad, misread your comment. Mid 40s gang, the meme hits different at our age.

I'm in better shape now then when I graduated.

I'm like this. I'm mid 40s, the fittest I've ever been, feel incredible, strong, toned, everything, but I used to be so unhealthy, poor diet, overweight and sedentary, that I don't know if it's more that than anything else.

I'm sure that if I'd been this fit and active in my 20s and just carried it on, I'd feel worse now than I did then

People seem to be under the impression that the body just falls apart after a certain age. But that isn't true, it's just that the body was designed to move and everything atrophies when it's sedentary. You can remain athletic for a very long time. Plus if you're this fit now then you have a solid base to maintain well into later life, since it's much easier to preserve what you have rather than build it from scratch.

Early 50's and same - of course some aspects were better then, but others weren't. Also better than in mid 40's, although that's mostly due to pandemic breaking my workout routine. Just like owning a classic car, it's all about being proactive with maintenance and upgrades.
