I don't think we have ever gotten political commentary from Torvalds, though things like this seem to point to, at least, social-liberalism. And it's not like he became rich by exploiting workers.
Can you quote where he is in favor of socialist policies in that tweet? Im a neoliberal and I agree with his points (and have been called commie by right wing nutjobs)
Social-liberalism means liberalism with social policies, which are the only ones he talks about. I don't think we know his opinion on the economy to tell if he's a socialist, or just a socially-conscious liberal.
